Mitch, these are not opinions, they are facts. Anywho, when are you going to show up for the series against the panthers?

  2. not-a-sound

Marner, focused on himself: [*threatens to go to Switzerland if he doesn’t get 10m+*]

(Agents do the heavy lifting, as they should, but I’m not sparing any low blows this series)

  3. dad_in_a_garage

Why did his voice crack when I read that in my own head?

  4. soggy_tarantula

The shambles can’t get you if you stay in the locker room Mitch! Galaxy brain right there.

I’ll eat the downvotes, there’s nothing wrong with that, no reason professional NHL players should be influenced by people who act like they understand everything about the NHL, but truly don’t.

Yes Mitch we know you never take accountability for your poor play come playoff time. Keep plugging your ears and drowning out the noise. Wouldn’t want to be a man and accept some criticism once in a while.

  7. What he really wanted to say is “I don’t care.” End of quote. And he plays like it.

  8. I’m gonna get down voted to oblivion I’m sure but, he’s kinda right. And that should be the message in the room. Constantly hailing negativity on these players is just not the right thing to do either.
Besides, how many of you listen to some joe blow off the street who tells you how you should be doing your job?

Yet the Marner family goes after Jeff O’Neill every time he criticizes his play. Right, eyes are totally on your own paper Mitch

This sounds like a guy who has been listening to the media.

  11. i-like-your-hair

And that would be fine, if you were focused on improving, and not on your own payday.

  12. Due_Reflection8386

Maybe take some accountability, Mitch. Is everyone against you or is there a point to their criticism?

  13. Vasili_Wears_Shorts

Mitchy more gritty during this interview than on the ice.

I call BS. These guys are mostly social media generation boys. I’m sure they have burner accounts, snooping around comments on their own performance from the fanbase. No question.

Seems to be working Mitch! Keep it up!!

This is not the first time he’s said this and it just gives “I don’t want to be held accountable”. I am truly no longer interested in having players on this team that don’t want to take ownership for their lack of effort.

  17. Soft as a steaming pile of baby shit, Kobe Bryant would literally say, we have all been garbage including myself we need to be better and we will. These fruit cakes talk like the hockey world isn’t supposed to be laughing at them right now, why wouldn’t they? Hve some self respect, take some accountability and be better. Instead this….

    *”We’re just focused on ourselves”*

    No lie there.

  19. Current-Own

Poor Mitch. Not doing himself any favours. He’s trying his utmost to deflect blame. Oh my.

  20. That’s cool and all Mitch, but you don’t get any sympathy when you held out for a max payout and haven’t delivered.

If he took 2M less, we’d still have Hyman
