The clock looks to have struck midnight devils fans, and Iโm not saying that to be pessimistic at all. This young squad had a phenomenal season and itโs so nice to see the return of their respectability after the last 10 years of being in the basement. Futures bright, regardless of the outcome!

Hockey is a hard sport. The forwards can play hard, score, and play great defense. Then the goalie can cost you the game. Who has 6 scores go by? That seems weird. It is a sport between goalies. No wonder this sport has reached it Max. You canโt win unless your goalie shows up. You can score and play good defense but it comes down to your goalie. This game really made me realized how lame and sad hockey is. Because you rely on your goalie so much.
Watching this series has made me feel less depressed about the Isles losing in the first round. The Canes really look like the favorites for the Cup. They make it happen on both ends of the ice. And it also validates us Isles fans who were hoping for an NYI vs NJD first round matchup, but that ended up not happening, sadly.
Oh, NHL playoffs. We got annihilated 8-4 just the other day. And the greatest ever team the Bruins got sent packing after being 3-1.
No Teravainen. No Svechnikov. No problem. Somehow, we are lethal away from home in this year's playoffs, for a change.
