I am still shocked that Arizona lost a first round pick for holding pre-draft workouts while Chicago kept theirs even though they knowingly covered up sexual assault of their young players? What did Bettman say? Oh, the appropriate punishment was doled out. Yeah, way to say you care about the kids. If I were a parent of one of these 18 year olds, I'd be terrified to send my kid there. I hope Bedard ends up okay (and he probably will given that I think they do try to protect their stars), but it gives a total ick.
I'm a Kings fan but my wife is a die hard ducks fan and I felt so bad for them not getting to pick at 1. I'm in shock

The fix was on. Fixed worse than a Chicago election. Every hockey fan knew exactly what happened. The NHL is totally corrupt. Beyond embarrassing.

I know it's not sexy TV but the NHL should have broadcasted live with Gary Bettman reading all the legal mumbo jumbo and watching the ping pong lottery balls bounce around. its more entertaining and dramatic seeing who has the winning combination versus what they actually broadcast on television…

over the last 3 years there were not great draft classes, laf being the last guaranteed #1 forward pick, and bedard is the first center top prospect since hughes. Of course right when you get rid of toews and kane they win a draft lottery let the blackhawks suffer for a couple of years.
After trading away Hagel and Dach, among others, I can't believe the Hockey Gods awarded Bedard to Chicago. Their tank was pretty annoying. It's one thing to sell your old creaky guys but your 22 year olds?

Curling is on par with watching paint dry. Male tennis players can at least volley well and make more acrobatic shots, women's players typically just hit it back and forth until someone makes an unforced error. Not terrible – but not as good as the men's game.
