The New Jersey Devils now find themselves in a 3-1 hole to the Carolina Hurricanes, and have shown no signs of a possible comeback. Despite scoring eight goals in the previous game, the Devils didn’t exactly have their best showing defensively. Unfortunately, it carried over into game four. The same can be said for Vitek Vanecek because he hasn’t shown much promise during the playoffs, however, it’s not entirely his fault. It will take another miracle for the Devils to overcome this deficit.

More turnovers than a bakery. Fucking terrible to watch
I think the Devils have been really bad for so long fans expect maybe more than this team can deliver. My expectations for this year were met, but this was a really bad loss. The good news it' can be a learning experience and sometimes to have to go through the fire. Can this team bounce back? Hopefully they go down swinging I don't think they are capable of winning the series but we will see.
This team has no grit, this team is soft, this team is not built for playoffs. Ruff said the late first half goal did not deflate the team but guess what! This is exactly what happened and happens every single time the Devils allow the first goal. This series showed that third of roster needs to go. Players like Bratt, Meier, some defensemen too Tatar. The coaching staff probably too. Although it is not going to happen. Ruff been coaching for 3 years and yet to teach players to shoot the puck. Instead they skate like free skaters and try to be too fancy. Against Carolina! Thats suicidal. This team is going to win nothing in 3, 5 even 10 years if they play like that. Carolina is missing three! three! top players!!!!!!!!1 Yet they destroy us! Thanks for the season. It was a good surprise but big changes needed! And yes, I know it's not over yet. But it is over
This team has overcome a lot this season and in the playoffs , I do wish they would’ve made it more of a contest this round because some of the players here may not be here next year
I dunno the biggest problem to me seems that the goals we allow are all kinda samey. How many times can we let them (and this includes Rangers), to be completely alone i front of our goalie. How many goals did we allow which were from a breakaway or tipped by somebody completely open.
Poor goalies, they are left there completely alone. it's so bad.
As I said last post, we need to find a way to stop the Canes stretch passes along with the quick tips into the middle of the ice that they use to advance into the neutral zone without having to out-skate us, this also prevents us from getting turnovers on the rush because the puck spends such a little amount of time in the neutral zone. SECONDLY we have to find a way to counter act there 1, 2, 2 fore-check, it suffocates us in our own end and causes mayhem and is preventing us from getting the puck out of our own end.

It would be Akira pulled after 5.
