My Calgary Hitmen In Six – Games 49-54 (S02E10)

For the latest episode of My Calgary Hitmen In Six. I feel that the Calgary Hitmen have a little more to play for going down the stretch as they’re now in striking distance of the Medicine Hat Tigers to get into the top three of the Central Division. While the first weekend set the Calgary Hitmen had a couple of rough games.

They sure made up for it with one game the Calgary Hitmen had an offensive breakout including captain Mark Kastelic scoring four goals in a game against the Regina Pats. Calgary Hitmen also closed out this game recap with a come from behind victory against the Kelowna Rockets. This team did show some heart in this segment. Note here that both Mark Kastelic and Carson Focht each reached the 30 goal plateau for the 2019-20 WHL Regular Season. Almost time to make plans and board the Calgary Hitmen Playoff Train.

Regular Season:
Game 49: Friday, February 7th – Prince Albert Raiders 1 @ Calgary Hitmen 2
Game 50: Saturday, February 8th – Calgary Hitmen 0 @ Red Deer Rebels 3
Game 51: Sunday, February 9th – Lethbridge Hurricanes 6 @ Calgary Hitmen 4
Game 52: Wednesday, February 12th – Regina Pats 1 @ Calgary Hitmen 8
Game 53: Saturday, February 15th – Calgary Hitmen 4 @ Prince George Cougars 2
Game 54: Monday, February 17th – Calgary Hitmen 6 @ Kelowna Rockets 5 (OT)

As usual after recapping the previous six games. I take a look ahead to the next six games on the schedule as now there’s only fourteen more games to go before the 2020 WHL Playoffs. Before I take a look ahead. Quickly went over player stats and looked at standings to lament on potential first round playoff match-ups and see if there’s any races worth following.

I’ve closed out this video giving my congratulations to Kelly Kisio who’ll get honoured as “Forever A Hitmen” on Sunday, March 1st, 2020. Kelly Kisio was a big part of the Calgary Hitmen success as a coach and general manager being part of the 1999 and 2010 WHL Championships. He’ll be forever up in the rafters with Brad Moran who has his #20 retired. Ryan Getzlaf and Andrew Ladd are players that are already have their names up in the rafters as “Forever A Hitmen.”
