Bummer City Torts Fletcher ruined it for us I’m sick.
Commenting from Anaheim, I think it’s misleading to say Bedard “would die” in a non traditional hockey market. As if it’s Mike trout (lol). Anaheim has quietly been building a hypothetical Russ wet dream team rebuild.
Currently having Mctavish (bedard best friend), zegras, Terry, drysdale and Dostal. With Zellweger, Gaucher, mintukov , lacombe in the pipeline.
Ducks fired their gm 2022 before the trade deadline, new gm trades off high assets (lindholm & rakell) for draft capital, drafts Mintukov, didn’t waste cap space, and set yourself up for bedard, now in search of “his” coach to “set a standard”.
All that Something the flyers should’ve done this year.
Anaheim would’ve been fun to watch with what they’ve constructed over the last 1.5 years and more so 3.
In regards to the flyers – I was team tank & anti Torts. As in right coach but at the wrong time due to the fact that he made a team severely overcharge for what? What “core” is going to be here in 2-3 years to show the standard that was set? Every year is going to be “setting the standard” now. Not only are they a year behind in a proper rebuild, they missed out on bedard, Fantilli, Carlson, Smith Etc..

Was not very supportive of a few Philly media sources were all anti tank. They made sure that after every Flyer loss, to state on twitter – the anti tank crowd should be happy "

Homer and these putzes destroyed a culture that, for the most part, was successful. Yes they did not win a cup since the 70s, but the team was more successful than nothing. Homer, hexy and Fletcher NEVER had a plan and the result is a dead franchise. DB literally can do NO worse than those morons
Chuck’s incompetence could very well haunt this franchise for many years. Especially if we can’t move Sanheim and he doesn’t improve and if Bedard wins cups in Chicago. I’d they hadn’t signed Torts, they would have likely been ~15 points worse and had a shot at bedard.
Russ, just get ready, cause you are going to see Dvorsky or Moore at 7… If Will Smith falls, one slot, we take him, and him and Cutter play together next season… at BC… not in philly…

Chicago has 19 picks in the first 3 rounds over the next 3 drafts…the flyers have 9 picks. Who will rebuild quicker ?
I see this as 3-4 years drafting in top 5 before they can truly turn it around. They also need some drafts where they have multiple first round picks. Torts is wrong coach for rebuilt and jury still out on Briere but by end of summer we will atleast know if he sees things clearly or has been drinking some of chucky kool-aid.
I was 100% tank. We are so screwed by our previous GM.
