  1. As a coyotes fan this is really annoying. I was hoping for two firsts and an A tier prospect at least or a first, B tier prospect and a roster player but we just get picks. As Steve Dangle would put it, picks are just “magic beans,” if you don’t hit on them then it’s a waste.

  2. Arizona wins. and Sens lose. Debrincat's resigning and too close to Sal Cap.

  3. Wow. Super underwhelmed. Love the video spams. This trade deadline has been the best ever. Can’t wait to rank top sellers and top buyers. Tons of wins this year for everyone.

  4. Ottawa might just just have the brightest future of any young NHL team. Detroit and Buffalo are right up there as well. Ottawa has a great forward group lead by Tkachuk, Stutzle, Norris and Debrincat. Rookie goaltender Sogaard has shown that he can be a very good goalie. The defence is looking very good, headlined by Chabot, Sanderson and now Chychrun.

  5. This feels like Arizona fumbled the trade a little bit here. Reportedly Rob Blake had a pretty solid package for a deal, Arizona did not accept or was holding out, so the deal with CBJ happened. Edmonton made the Ekholm deal and Boston capped themselves out early. AZ backed themselves into a corner on this one, they played hardball and this is the result of them not holding as many cards as they thought. Just what I was thinking over the past week or so

  6. The asking price dropped once everyone else started backing out. Great deal though.

  7. Full admission: When I first saw the headline, for the first fraction of a second I was elated. However, in the very next fraction of that same second an eery feeling of dread overcame me: "Uh, oh! What has Pierre given up?" Then I saw the details and figured I was being trolled. A few seconds later…back to elation and relief at the sane time.

  8. So here is a thought, with how the capitols have been trading away their players for 1st round picks are they gonna potentially trade away alex ovechkin for a few draft picks?

  9. the market changed in the past 24-48 hours so i think they got desperate and took this deal. Well that and everyone probably got tired of dealing with Arizona

  10. What the fuck. Why couldn’t the Canucks make a move like this instead of that bum hronek. Such a god damn joke. I hate being a Canucks fan.

  11. I'm surprised honestly. Nobody wants to play in Ottawa because of the small market, shitty fair-weather fans, and high taxes. Maybe the future looks bright enough for Chychrun to want to come here. I'm happy we picked him up, but I think we have enough offensive minded defenceman, we desperately need a shut down d man who plays boring, responsible hockey in his own end. Not sure if chychrun has that bump that we need, but he'll certainly make up for that in secondary scoring

  12. Honestly just happy this nonsense is finally, Arizona has to have the worst asset management in the NHL

  13. This sucks for Leafs' fans because they (Leafs) gave up more to acquire Jake McCabe and Chychrun is the better of the two defencemen.

  14. Big Dorion move. A pick in the 12-18 range & two seconds for a top4 Dman with term and cheap AAV. This return has the same value as the Hronek's return, since the two seconds for Chychrun will likely be 45-50 while VAN's second will be 34-36.

  15. Tyler Bertuzzi traded to boston please let me know your thoughts on this deal next episode

  16. I thought if the Sens made this deal, part of the package going back would include Alex Formenton. I guess everybody has forgotten that he still exists. Perhaps the Sens will still try to deal his rights at some point.

  17. I would’ve liked the leafs to get him in a trade of like Holl, a first, a second and an additional pick or something like that. But we’re at least solid now. Idk if we can compete with Boston if we get through tampa

  18. As a caps fan given the rumors he was going to the caps it makes me sad that this marks the start of the retool

  19. I think that the number of buyers had shrunk, after Gav was taken by the Kings and The Oilers got Ekholm, let AZ with a limited number of dance players…

  20. It's possible LA's price was higher because they're division rivals. I know teams do that sometimes.

  21. As a Yotes fan this was a big disappointment. Would rather just keep him and keep him with our younger guys. Him and keller as team leaders
