So Copp makes 5.5 mil/year, and I still hear a lot of people say Larkin is only worth 8 mil….I would argue that point to Yzerman if I were Larkins agent. Give the man 8.75mil and call it a win
I love Ras but don't undercut the fact we could have Nick Suzuki instead of him in that draft class.
Judging individual players without considering that the team's biggest failure was getting loads of long-term injuries. Halfway into the season, it is only now that the team has equal points in some way since we miss out Z. To see why others do better e.i Ras who really took on a bigger role than before. If we see Ras's development from halfway through last year's season, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to do that math.
I'd say that we've looked worse since we sent soderblom down, I thought he played well in every game I watched, his work off the puck was great and I can't wait to see him develop further, definitely a b+, bertuzzi we should have traded last season while his stock was high, has looked awful since coming back from injury, Raymond and larkin b+, Rasmussen also a b+ he's taken massive strides forward this year
Honestly, Bertuzzi should get an Incomplete as a grade. It's really unfair to give him a failing grade based on start/stop season he's had. You shouldn't fail him based on your disappointment of what he brings in a a potential trade … no ??? 🤷
This entire team had a pretty slow start except for Kubalik and Perron. Then they cooled down and the other big players picked up the slack. Ultimately as a team, we are humming along at a C+/B-.
We need to trade Larkin. He is worth 7.5 mill not 9.5. We can easily get a 1st and a prospect for him.
If you're grading based on production, you have to keep the overall team in mind. Larkin's production is only where it's at because this team isn't very good. I think if we had a team that was playing great hockey night in, night out, he'd be putting up the kinds of numbers that we want from him.

Grading Bert is wrong. It's an incomplete. I mean he's played 17 games. If he played all of them in a row you might have something usable, but what's his longest stretch in the line-up? 6 or 7 games? You don't have to have a hot take on everything. I'm not a Bert apologist, he's played poorly by his standards, but give the guy a chance to actually get into a rhythm before going so hard after him. He's not the reason the Wings are where they are. How many more games would they have won with him?
A strong wind could take the puck from Raymond and this guy gives him a B
