  1. Nylander is just BRUTAL off the puck 99% of the time. Yes he makes up for it on the other end of the ice but he really is a liability out there when he doesn't have the puck

  2. Willy was great during the regular szn and in the playoffs he’s had some moments like last playoffs but last night he was absolutely brutal it was like he didn’t want to be there at all

  3. Toronto take a hint from the Dallas Stars: Shoot the puck, it don’t need to be pretty, just shoot the puck! Please! Did swarming the net suddenly go out of style? 🏒🤠🏒🍁🍁🍁

  4. It’s Holl, Gio, and Brodie. The 3 stooges. Willy might be a little lazy on the backcheck and lacks awareness at some points, but the majority of the time he’s buzzing around in the offensive zone getting pucks to the net and creating chances which he gets paid to do. Defence is lacking big time besides the first pairing. Schenn has surprised me playing at such a high intensity level..Leafs will be fine though just need to take care of the smaller details like winning puck battles, creating shooting lanes, and they need to be more collected/organized in their own zone. Too much scrambling.

  5. its true though like he’s so lazy, barely skating. Extremely inconsistent and playoffs isn’t the time. Don’t get me wrong, overall he is a strong player but I just don’t see the effort when it’s most important. Not worth 7m that’s for sure.

  6. If you look and Willy and Mitch Marners play in the last 2 playoffs and somehow come up with Willy being the problem then you have not been paying attention. Willy pretty much carried the leafs on his back in the first round last season while Marner continues to act like a scared lost little child on the ice. The closest Marner gets to the boards is exactly how far the end of his stick will reach while FULLY extended. He is soft, scared and really does not want that puck on his stick.

  7. He shouldn't be traded but there are moments that make you question wtf he's there for. In that last game he had a 1 on 1 with the goalie and turned around, yes turned around and skated toward the blue line. No idea why. That's the stuff that tilts me.

  8. it's gonna be a long series and it could very well decide his future worth , that one play wasn't a good look for nylander as clearly he was hearing footsteps most of the night he really has very little in the way of a physical edge to his game

  9. Honestly, other than within a powerplay, Marner has had equal brain farts and bad passes than Nylander overall in the last few games this playoffs and I am waiting for either of them to have another big game.

  10. He's too soft for playoffs. Afraid to take a hit to make a play.

  11. Willy is a Womens international player. Doesnt hit. When he held out for his contact, dubus should have held his ground and not sign him. Like another comment said. Hes way too inconsistent, you never know what your going to get. Never liked him. Hes good when he scores and he can score but for 7mill god damn.

  12. Misses his assignments, floats around aimlessly, has at least 1 of those mental blunders a game. He's frustrating because sometimes he plays like a top 5 forward in the league, but the majority of the time he's invisible out there.

  13. Hahaha… I really hope Nylander leave Toronto after this season. You stupid Leafs morons who doesn't understand his greatness and that he's not a "grinder" don't deserve a fantastic player like Willy.

  14. If he threw hits – even micro, baby ones – he'd be a fan favorite. He's just allergic to contact. Painful to watch sometimes.

  15. HELLO !!!!!!!!!! I have said it over and over,he's a swede, and look at all your swede heroes ,where were they in playoffs?. Salming, Sundin, Sedins,etc….. all Swede millionaire "KINGS WITH NO RINGS". You need Canadian players if you want to win

  16. Willy Meander drives us all nuts. His coasting and lack of heads up hockey sense makes me want to pull my hair out. At his salary, I'm expecting a point a game on average. IN THE PLAYOFFS ESPECIALLY.
If he doesn't start turning on the jets and using his head, he may not be keepable.
Then again, as Matthews is a likely departure, losing Willy may be a bridge too far.

  17. He's a Sweden boy. A lot of them look like they aren't trying but they are. remember Sundin?

  18. Some players are skilled, some are plain honest hard workers, others are intense while others are all about grinding it out. The playoffs are more of an environment conducive to grinders but that doesn't mean Nylander has no place in such instances nor does it mean that he's a floater or unreliable. All that having been said, Kyle Dubys might consider trading Nylander for a slightly tougher and less expensive player who adds intensity.

  19. Thank you for the imfo , and video. Well presented, and well received.. apprecoated !

  20. I would trade Nylander for a 1st since they are missing their next 3 years worth and then give his contract to Bertuzzi🤷‍♂ I would also trade Marner for 2 1st's tho🤷‍♂ rebuild on the fly

  21. he was good most of this year as shown by his career best totals. seemed to slow down after the trade deadline moves. he was their best point scorer the last 2 playoffs. but he has looked pretty lazy out there in this year's playoffs. he seems to run out of gas quickly and then stands back and lets his teammates do all the hard work on the boards, he doesnt hit and will back off and turn over the puck to avoid being hit. even when he has the puck he looks like he isnt trying… or that he is more interested in keeping the puck rather than trying to score.

  22. you could have showed way more plays where he bailed out on fighting for the puck or turned it over too easy when he saw a hit coming. lazy and selfish letting the rest of the team do all the hard work while he stands back waiting for a breakaway pass.

  23. I think that when the Leafs play at home, they are constantly doing interviews instead of relaxing at home. Interviews should be left to to management and coaches. I think that is why they play much better on the road as no one wants to interview them on the road

  24. I’m not a Leaf’s fan. I’m only watching their games cause they’re a Canadian team, so I’ve only watched a handful of Leafs games but I’ve spotted Nylander looking like he was pleasure skating in an open air rink several times. I think that the Leafs fans are right to be pissed about his play. Very soft. Yeah, he can score, but he’s basically a liability the rest of the time.

  25. I didnt hear tampa blame it on any1 being tired what ever leaf fan suck not as loyal as they think thats why tamoa has 3 in 20 yrs

  26. Does not show up when it gets rough, every playoff. Will only go to the net when he sees he won't have much contact.

  27. That was a weird play when Nylander deked that dude and skated away from the net. But I think he is the Leafs most talented player, got to stick with him. The other core four could be traded.
