  1. Both Draisaitl AND Pavelski score 4 goals in one game, yet their teams lose. Not how you want to start a series if you're the Oilers or Stars, and both teams are now down 2 games to 1.

  2. When I see #23 on the Leafs do a weird spinny thing with the puck, my butt clenches with visions of Travis Dermott because, in Steve's words, PEOPLE DON'T FORGET!!

  3. You need a third show: Steve’s BS-Moves or something to cover all the absolutely terrible calls and non-calls every week. These playoffs would give you about an hour a week! The hit on Cogliano, the double hit and smash on Knies, and the double hit on Bunting are complete and utter BS. There were more, but for the first two they both caused serious injury. The NHL needs to get in gear and start caring about players and taking concussions and neck injuries seriously like other leagues do. Yes, stuff happens, but there is or there needs to be NO place for deliberate head hits.

If they intentionally headhunt and target the head or neck it’s an automatic boot from the game, if there’s an injury it’s an automatic suspension for the same amount of games the injured player has to miss up to a limit, and if they’re a repeat offender fine them far more than a pittance.

  4. 3:34 I kind of wish Michael Mcleod’s shorthanded goal from Canes-Devils game 3 was included too, it was really good

  5. Funny. I was told by Buffalo fans that we wouldn’t be able to depend on Eichel in the playoffs. They must be mad that he didn’t score a single playoff goal in Buffalo.

  6. this is why i watch you (and dang-its) so if you are wondering why i jump into the LFR or sdpn videos its because these are so awesome

  7. compliment time: Steve! Nice work on highlighting hat picks that happened against the leafs. It's so refreshing to watch you be real while watching the leafs games, but also give honest compliments to the opposition when they deserve them. This is the unbiased sports journalism we all need. keep at it, man.

  8. Pavelski is the only player I can think of that switched teams to a team I hate just as much as the sharks (VGK fan)

  9. As a Panthers fan, through the first 3 games I have just been laughing my ass off at the very questionable performances by the leafs players

  10. I think the dang its video should just be all the un disciplined or max fines player safety incidents in round 2

  11. 13:38 Knies' head got smashed into the ice, just like Toronto's playoffs. Welcome back to reality, Dinglerberry and Toronto fans. Welcome back.

  12. Game 3 as a whole is a Dang It for canes fans. But game 4 is certainly a hat pick.

  13. Keep the beard and this lighting… and I can not stress enough… the lighting. <3

  14. Four goals by a player in single game is very rare and to think we got two inside 24 hours. Outrageous

  15. I just had to go to look the NHL stats to see how much better Draisaitl is in playoffs. The result is more than stunning. It's unreal.

I looked first the top 50 all time scorers with 400+ games played and sorted them out by ppg. Then I took their ppg from playoffs and calculated the difference. In regular season Draisaitl is already among the best all time with 1,17 ppg, which is 16th all time. But during playoffs he doesn't just elevate his game, he skyrockets it with 1,65 ppg. That's an increase of 0,48 ppg. The next best improvements in the ppg from regular season to playoffs are MacKinnon 0,23 (1,07-1,30), Rantanen 0,19 (1,05-1,24) and Messier 0,18 (1,07-1,25). After those players the improvements (for the 4 player that have improvement (Kurri, McDavid, Perrealt and Beliveau) are minor 0,01-0,05.

Oh, and that 1.65 ppg in playoffs ranks 2nd all time. Come playoff time, calling Draisaitl a beast is an understatement!

  16. goalies are worse now then the 80s for anyone who thought goalies from the 80s were bad.

  17. "Playoff Jack Eichel" suggests other versions like Malibu Jack Eichel or Party Time Jack Eichel

  18. I watched the SN broadcast of Canes @ NJ last night. What a delight. So much better than TBS or even ESPN. You Canadians are so lucky.

  19. Canes obliterated Jersey in games 1&2 (and now 4) but just the 1 clip in this video. Guess it’s because the Canes play consistent, defensive, forechecking hockey that doesn’t usually require flashy scoring or crazy goalie saves.

But scoring 4 goals in 5.5 minutes in the second period of game 4 better be in next week. And maybe that Freddie save where Timo preemptively celebrated is a dang it because 😂 thank god they didn’t accept our offer for him. Not worth it.

  20. Wanna know why draisaitl (Sorry if i spelt the name wrong) scored so mang goals? Because him and mcdavid are the only people who score on the team

  21. McDavid, Draisaitl and Bouchard are one clown car of a scoring show. 47 points between them in nine games.

  22. As an Avs fan, thank you. Seattle deserved to win the series, but Eberle needs to face some sort of consequences for that hit.

  23. Boo, being the lack of on ice responsibility to handle a missed player safety issue. The fart being any possible reconciliation after the game, or even during the game, to hold the guilty party accountable.

  24. I knew it, I knew they'd put Knies first NHL goal in but continue to ignore Kartye's first NHL goal IN HIS FIRST NHL GAME!

  25. The difference between Pav and Drai is that Draisaitl was on the ice for as many goals against. He had a great game offensively but a bad game defensively and he knows it. That's why he was mad.

  26. So if the Panthers win tonight and the Canes win tomorrow night all 3 Staals will be in the Eastern conference finals.

  27. McDavid 's goal is both! Hatpick for McDavid. Dangit for the vegas tender. His body language totaly sells the Dang it!

  28. So Steve not only did u have to start your ONLY Kraken Hat Pick with a EBERLE INSULT (WHY CAN NO ONE UNDERSTAND COGLIANO didn't know he was hurt #1 and #2 they only found out Through a X-ray. OF COURSE they can't penalize Eberle entirely for it because of those 2 FACTS but come on dude for real) Cogliano put HIMSELF in that spot no one helped him it was 100% him. Eberle SHOULDN'T have been suspended for it. That is GROTESQUELY unfair. Makar was #1 after the whistle, #2 puck CLEARLY out of play, #3 ENTIRELY MALICIOUS INTENT to injure which he did cause a concussion on McCann which cost him the rest of the Avs series and half the Stars. Don't be so biased please man that's unfair
