  1. Nothing is wrong with Chris Kreider. He is a good player who had a career season last year where everything went his way. He scored 36 goals this year as a 32 year old. He has averaged 26.5 goals and 48 points per season his entire career. He had one great playoff and one great season and otherwise he's a 26 goal 50 point guy who is aging and in decline. I'm not quite sure what you expect from this power forward or why you revere him so much. I'm trying to think of an equivalent statistical player. He's like Jordan Eberle? He's like a healthy Jaden Schwartz. Maybe he's most like Jason Arnott. 22 gpy 50 ppy for 19 seasons.

Kreider is in decline. I think you are fooling yourself if you expect Kreider to be better or even as good as he's been.

Oh and New Jersey is a better team than the rangers, deeper and faster and younger. If Shesterkin is great the rangers can certainly win a game or series versus this New Jersey team but the devils are heading up and the rangers are in decline.

  2. Once again, I will say, bring up videos of the forwards going in the boards on the offensive end fighting for a pucks. Compare what Kreider does ,to the rest of the forwards.

  3. If any of the three should go. According to your last video I would rather get rid of Kreider bc he’s the oldest and I don’t see him getting any better and we need younger talent

  4. He served his time here couldn’t get the job done. Maybe he can lift the cup elsewhere while we try and focus on getting a bit better. Panarin and Zibanejad aren’t getting any younger and they are SUPERSTARS.

  5. I sat next to dancing Larry this year during a rangers game very nice and friendly guy. Didn’t know it was him until the second period I didn’t know his favorite player was Chris Kreider..

  6. Damn man we shouldn’t have gotten Kane. I liked Kane. He played fine. He just messed up our contract situation. If he never came I guarantee we would have kept Tarasenko and possibly have beaten the devils in round 1….

  7. KREIDER should be captain . Really “ leads” the team in all past playoffs and has been there for a long time , Truba shouldn’t have problem giving it to him and him becoming an assistant!

  8. Kreider is going no where. He produces in the playoffs. Where did you get the information that Kreider refused to wear the C? Please show us. Kreider is a BARGAIN @ $6.5M. Laf is a bust… Fox is the only big contract with out a NMC… Big contract… soft player that puts up a lot of points in the regular (exhibition) season but can't handle the physicality in the playoffs. Panarin is another who can't play tough minutes in the playoffs and he might need to be convinced to waive his NMC. Has nothing to do with showing up…. It has to do with playing North South and not East West. Ranger forecheck and puck possession were non existent. All to do with grinding, hard work, structure, goal tending and coaching… Not a bunch of psycho babble crap.

  9. Nothing! He is an awesome Ranger and let's hope he will do as good under new coach and hopefully system we will play

  10. The way i see it, if the rangers are still in win now mode, you can’t play kreider out of position. He’s not nearly as effective on the right side bc we’ve seen it before and it’s unreasonable to think he’s going to have the same production. Same thing can be said about bread and laf too, they all need to play the left side to perform at top level. This problem is going to follow the team into next years playoffs bc even if they’re in a position to acquire a RW at the deadline, the LW out of position will have to be moved back to the left side and that’s not actually fixing the issue. We just had one of the most stacked teams i’ve ever seen and they went out sad af. We can talk hypotheticals about moving players but even moving one of the elite LW pieces is still a huge loss. It’s a truly awful position this team is in rn.

  11. The post game interview with him and Zibanejad after getting knocked out by Tampa in conference finals was a bit pathetic and may be why he isn't captain. Kreider is afraid to play angry and use his size. His pillow hits by turning and putting his rear end into someone is not only weird but totally useless and needs to stop. Finish your checks. If he has flash backs of Price he needs to get that out of his mind.

  12. Othmann should start in Hartford for first 1/4 to 1/3 of the season. Cuylle should start on 3rd line. Lafreniere should play on Zibanejad's line with Kreider on the right until Lafreniere can be traded. Since Kreider has the no move. Then Othmann comes up to play on 1st after Lafreniere is traded and Kreider gets pushed down to 3rd, Kakko moves up. If Rangers somehow can keep Tarasenko he starts on 2nd line.

  13. Trouba is by no means a Captain. He is really just a 6th best defensive defenseman, who has very limited skill. And has no speaking skills. He was given Captaincy only because of his contract, age, and his acceptance to be given the role. Kreider, Zibanejad, Panarin worry too much about appearance to be captain. They don't have it in them to be the bad guy. Lindgren should be Captain. He would be considered veteran enough now. Problem is Trouba would now have to give up the Captaincy a new coach wouldn't change captains right away.

  14. At this point there’s nothing to lose . Might as well put lafraniere on the first line, see if he can do anything I personally think he’s a bust but we might as well test it out to know for sure

  15. I see Brodzinski more of a 4th line center. I don't see Carpenter making the team or staying in the organization. I think getting Carpenter was Drury appeasing a request from Gallant and he didn't work out. I don't see him staying.

  16. 😂 1.5 for miller you're delusional I wish that was the case he's the Rangers best defensive D-MEN

  17. We have no jam! No players that will sell their souls to win a cup here. Outstanding view on Kreider, force him over or good by. I have never heard that he said no to the captaincy, if that's true get him out of here. All you have to do is look at Florida and you will see a team that will rip your head off to win and that starts with you know who…

  18. You are spot on.we need guys that want to show up everyday and want to win regardless of how they feel.i see a team that only checks in when they want.i would rather have gritty guys that battle every night.

  19. “They don’t know how to play as a team.”

    Wrong,

    – The regular season for the last two years was excellent.

    – The run to the Conference Final was awesome.

    – The three wins vs NJ were dominating.

.. The “no shows,” in the eight losses vs Tampa & NJ remain confounding.

However, I think the roster construction in both seasons was fatally flawed. Versus Tampa – not enough scoring talent. Versus NJ not enough grit and grind physicality.

Drury has to combine both. Creating a shutdown checking third line is imperative.

  20. There's nothing wrong with Kreider. He's a one dimensional, overpaid player who's sole claim to fame is the NY media who don't get to cover real nhl stars day to day.

  21. I think that in this scenario, in a good Idea to Resign Motte if he takes around 2..5M, and he can play C or Winger. But the lack of personality is a real problem here.

If Lafy, Kakko, Chytil all stay on the team, the should be 2nd line and PP time, no doubt about it.

  22. Panarin has huge confidence issues. He is too small, too showboaty, and not at all physical enough come playoff time. It’s time to throw that stale loaf of bread out. Kreider is a bigger more physical net front presence and a better skater. I would like to take everything you said and apply it to Panarin. Even if we retain 25%-50% of his salary that’s still more than Kreider’s entire salary. I also think losing Kreider would have an impact on Zibanajad’s play since those two are so close. Try to move Panarin and resign Tarasenko. P.S. Hire Messier as an assistant and get him behind the Rangers bench in some capacity. At minimum he would have the players respect and if he can’t motivate them to play, no one can.

  23. Rangers need to find their Kucherov. A pass first guy that sets up others for amazing plays.

  24. Question: Does the organization employ a sports psychologist to work with the players to help ensure they are in the best mental frame of mind to perform? Is that even a thing in the NHL? I would think that in this day and age it would be.

  25. I've never heard anyone say before that Chris Kreider has low self-esteem and is not really a team player. But I've always kinda gotten the sense that his true abilities supersede his confidence level by a wide margin. As if he's not entirely comfortable with his talents. I remember him joining the team from BC in the 2012 playoffs and immediately scoring several key goals when we were really hurting for offense, and everyone thought then that Kreider would be a mega-star, but then he stopped scoring, and all but disappeared for the next year or so. And I've always thought he disappears from time to time. I've often wondered if maybe he's just not the guy who is gonna get this team to the Promised Land.

  26. Kreider is totally 100% useless, besides the power-play(deflecting pucks). The rest of his game Sucks Donkey D(<%. He plays SISSY-SOFT, and everyone knows it. He never tries to win puck-battles… and his board play is the weakest in the NHL. (its so weird). He never utilizes his speed potential & strength potential. And It looks like he is playing like he popped in a handful of sleeping pills. It looks like he is playing bad on purpose lately but I can't figure out why.

  27. First of all I you are trashing the only player showing skater taking accountability these playoffs. Meanwhile we have another guy making 11.6M (who also doesn't want to change wings) who was a complete no-show in the playoffs. And we're supposed to this no one can do anything about that? Anyone making that much money in the NHL should be able to perform in the playoffs. Why does Panerin get a pass?

Come to think of it – after a season where the Rangers had an overall good regular season and a very disappointing playoffs you are trashing the guy who was our biggest playoff contributor (besides Igor) while protecting the guy who was a playoff no-show but did well in the regular season. I think you couldn't be more wrong.

And I'm sorry… Ryan Carpenter? Are you listening to yourself? Did you watch the first half of the season at all? Wow. Rangers fans are something else.
