Looks like he got him right in the wrist šŸ˜¬

    Donā€™t expect any repercussions thoughā€¦

  2. VegasKnights980

No. There was a lethal Edmonton ladybug on Leonā€™s wrist. Petro just killed it for him. No suspension. Should be praised

  3. Penny4TheGuy

Yes, that should be a one game suspension imo

  4. yemx0351

    Yes.

Game started getting out of hand. The boarding on Kane was not called and shit started getting really stupid after that.

  5. kooner75

If they don’t suspend him, it sets a dangerous precedent that it’s ok for star players to be slashed in a way that could hurt them.

  6. shittybillz

Well yea. He didnā€™t have the puck. Itā€™s intent to really hurt with the potential to injure

  7. OddlyShapedButthole

Better get more than a 5 minute major for that. Iā€™m sure there will be at least a fine. But would be really bad on the league if they let things like that go, would pretty much just tell players to injure the star players

  8. legend-780

Major in the final 5 minutes is an automatic game. Question is if Nurse is going to get one too for the instigator.

  9. whosdadd4

Oilers can suck it, if you watched the game youā€™d actually understand.

  10. Methtimezzz

Does a bear shit in the woods?

Looking forward to player safety slapping pietrangelo with a suspension

  11. fightingcockroach1

If you donā€™t punish things like this they need to have linesmen stop holding back fights

  12. Glittering-Creme7929

Nah itā€™s alright, oilers are a Canadian team it donā€™t matter

  13. luzer_kidd

JT Miller hacked jack hughes on top of his helmet and not even a 2 minute penalty. League is a joke.

  14. bigsmokenumber45

Fucking savage play. 1-2 games for sure

  15. Grumman-F4F-Wildcat

Vegas player is a shit bag? I am shocked!

  16. No-Repeat-9055

Seems pretty standard fair to me although cutting firewood is a bit strange during a hockey game

  17. Xannymanny4

POS move but Kane on Oilers has been even worse in my opinion

  18. DarthCraw

How stupid do you have to be to do that right in front of an official?

  19. BigFaZhou

Looked like that scene from the Mighty Ducks when team Iceland takes out Banks. Bad guys gonna bad guy

  20. mmmmmmmmmmTacos

Yes. But no more so than what has been going on in multiple series so far.

  21. imaybeacatIRl

    I’d suggest it is… That’s pretty ugly.

  22. that_madcow

looks more like a failed execution attempt

  23. haihaiclickk

Absofuckinglutely. I was legitimately shocked watching this live. The puck is long gone, Drai already let up on the skating and Pietr clearly is aiming for the part of the forearm where there’s no padding between the elbow pads and cuffs of the glove.

  24. IngloriousGramrBstrd

    Was it dirty? Yes.

Was it ā€œintent to injureā€? Itā€™s honestly a shame that ā€œintent to injureā€ is the official term. Because it causes a lot of confusion. THAT SAIDā€¦In terms of the rule book definition, the answer is yesā€¦and itā€™s not really debatable.

Although I think itā€™s worth noting that the part of the definition that applies is about ā€œrecklessly endangeringā€ (which interestingly has nothing at all to do with intent).

    > A match penalty shall be assessed to any player or team official **who recklessly endangers** or attempts to injure any opposing player or team official.

Iā€™ve gotta say thoughā€¦I honestly canā€™t believe thatā€™s the actual wording of the ruleā€¦As players ā€œrecklessly endangerā€ each other ALL THE TIME during normal, legal, play.

  25. AssInspectorGadget

It should be a game suspension, also Dryside should also get a fine for the cross check. Tough play is okay as long at is clean, I fucking hate this cross checks and stick to the head and wrists. NHL could clean these if they wanted to.

  26. TotalCharcoal

Pretty sure you can’t Happy Gilmore a dude when you’re pissed off. Especially when he doesn’t have the puck. Man, the refs really let this one get away from them.

  27. Veggieman34

This will be a 5k fine. Bunting took something similar to the neck and thatā€™s what the other guy got.

  28. FourHockey

The most obvious suspension ever. Goes after Drai without the puck. Winds up over his head to put as much possible force into the slash. Could have broken Drais wrists and stopped his Conn Smythe run essentially auto-winning the series for Vegas. If this isnā€™t a suspension, then nothing is.

But Watch the NHL give him a fine and continue to be an absolute joke.

  29. ItsWoodsLOL

Saw this live. Absolutely was intent to injure.
