Whatever happens in Game 5, and games 6-7 if they happen, The Devils have exceeded expectations in 22/23. The Ranger series was the cherry on top of the Sundae if this is the end of the road. The only complaint I have has been the use (lack of) of Yegor Sharongovich. They will probably lose him, and I don't blame him for leaving.
Canes are good but losing like that is embarrassing. Losing is one thing, getting blown out isn't acceptable regardless of the massive W this season has been overall. Have some pride.

Ask Doug Hamilton, what was running through his mind on goal 6, as he seemed to be out for a relaxing night time skate, as he watched Schmid miss a stoppable shot..

Devils play their best when they stop worrying and play a team game, a fun game… well with the caveat of being good with the details, disciplined. You're not in Toronto, so don't put the pressure of the world on you
Let's keep it real Devils fans.. this series is over. Not going to win 3 straight against a disciplined hard-working defensive minded team like the Canes. Overall it's been a great season, new record in wins and points, Hughes getting the individual point record, and beating the Rangers in 1st round was epic (won 3 of last 4 series against them). Remember that for half the team, this was their first playoff experience, so nothing to be ashamed of. They did well. Hopefully they gained a ton of knowledge, sharpen up and play more hungry next year.
Whatever happens tomorrow it was a heck of a season. Keep your Chins up Boys. Play, Battle and fight for one other and you will claw your way back into this series.

Guess the only positive with this situation is that we get playoff experience. Time + bratt have been invisible based on what they demand in money 💰 good thing, because I’m quite positive our leadership won’t pay them north of 8.5 for this experience.
