Henry Ing Callahan 2023

The University of Pittsburgh En Sabah Nur is incredibly proud to nominate Henry Ing for the 2023 Callahan Award. Henry has grown to become an inspiring leader for our team, the entire Pitt program, and the communities of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia ultimate. As a Masters student in Bioengineering he works to improve shoe tread technology and researches slips and falls in an effort to reduce injury rates in various professions. Those that are lucky enough to know him personally know Henry as a kind, humble, fun loving and incredibly hard working individual. Those that are unlucky enough to have to guard him on the ultimate field are usually filled with despair and hopelessness by the end of each point. Henry is THE example of dominance in our sport currently. He truly has every skill in his bag and is lethal from any position on the field. We could not be more proud to honor Henry this year as our 2023 Callahan Nominee.

  1. Love this video and how it highlights how incredible Henry is in the details of his game and not just his top tier athleticism

  2. 🏆🥏 Callahan Video Rating: 8.3 🥏🏆

Intro unclear, starts with okay clip. Should be either building suspense or being clear, logical introduction of player, so we should see him.

Good cutting, some excellent skies, Shows a lot easy catches for some reason, some great catches, kind of a slow runner but uses clever physicality to get open, accurate thrower, always puts himself in the right spot. Overall great player, but was not wowed.

Song was great and fitting, and clips were timed quite well.

Footage quality: first three clips are grainy. film in 4k, crop in. if a video starts off poorly why should we continue to watch? There are some acceptable and high quality clips, but way too much grainy low quality footage, looks like 2014 footage.

Ends with accomplishments, but text is small and hard to read due. Should’ve added stroke and drop shadow, increased size, or done them credits-style
