  1. I think Nurse will keep his one game suspension, and Pietrangelo will get 2 (instead of a single) only because of the clear intent to injure. If the league plays that off as not having intent, we're going to see this series absolutely erupt in some awful shenanigans and someone WILL get injured and be out for the rest of the playoffs.

That being said, I'm also betting Kane will be told in no uncertain terms that if he puts a pinky toe out of line that hes going to get nailed for it (not officially, of course).

Play chippy, be hardnosed, defend your boys – but cheap shots and lumberjack swings need to stop. Keep chirping all you want and play physical, get those hits in but for goodness sake JUST. PLAY. THE. GAME.

  2. I thought I witnessed a criminal assault. It was reminiscent of Bobby Clarke's chop on Karlomov. You asked.

  3. Not a fan of either team but thissss what we live for alll out war this is how rivals are made I hate that I can’t watch my nucks but lm cheering fully for Oilers and Leafs and Seattle just cause that team is built different

  4. If Vegas can avoid getting penalty’s, they will have a much better chance of winning. Oilers PP is insane

  5. Vegas doesn’t like the blatant Edmonton penalties not getting called, like that cross check against Stone that led to an Edmonton goal, the cross check against Roy that Vegas then scored on, or that board against Pietrangelo that led to that slash

  6. Funnily enough, the music video for "The Stage" showed up under this video. While I have listened to it recently, since the album as a whole is the only worthwhile album Avenged Sevenfold have released since City of Evil, I do wonder if you influenced the algorithm by mentioning it…

  7. Wait. Vegas and Oilers are the Western equivalent of the Panthers? Classic Conan The Barbarian move by Pietrangelo, but it’s going to take more than that to outdo Florida.

  8. Game 3 – Kane makes a beeline for Petro after the buzzer sounds and delivers a hard crosscheck to Petro's face.

Oilers fans: "Obviously Kane was frustrated with all the non-calls by the refs all game long. He was only taking a stand for his teammates who were getting high sticked on every shift. All these dumb Vegas fans whining about "intent to injure"…lol!!! Suck it up…THIS IS HOCKEY!!! No suspension!!!

Game 4 – Petro delivers a slash to Draisaitl after becoming frustrated with non-calls and cheap shots taken on him all game long.

Oilers fans: "WTF???!!! That was clearly an intent to injure! This is not how hockey is played. He should be suspended for the rest of the series, maybe banned from hockey for life!"

  9. Seeing the refs swallow whistles and the cheap shots escalate make me not want to support or watch. The late hit in the panthers leafs game as well just increases unessessary injury chances.

  10. First thing: Woodcroft having Connor or Leon out in the last minute and a half of a 4-1 game in the playoffs is absurd. Second thing, that's the worst slash I've seen since Lemieux got chopped in the 90s or Mcsorely on Brashear. If that's not AT LEAST a game I'll prob stop watching hockey. Literally looked like Adam Banks getting slashed in mighty ducks.

  11. The VGK were actually playing really well in the opening period, but one player had 3 very uncharacteristic screw-ups one after another that put them in a hole. Shea Theodore took a slashing penalty 4 minutes in; that was killed off, but less than a minute after he got out of the box, right in front of our net he gave the puck away to Bjugstad who then scored on a wrap around. His next shift, Theodore took ANOTHER slashing penalty and the lethal EDM PP took just 9 seconds to make it 2-0…and suddenly it felt like game 2 all over again.

  12. Nurse will be suspended and Pietrangelo won’t. That’s how low my expectations of the DOPS is at this point.

If there was some consistency in the punishments and suspensions, Pietrangelo should get 3 games like Bunting did. Cernak had some cheap shots throughout that game before Bunting elbowed him in the head. That suspension was fair. But the lack of suspensions for a number of other incidents (Stamkos, Eberle etc.) makes me doubt the integrity of the DOPS. They don’t seem to care about player safety.

  13. It's pretty obvious that Urkel grew up to be his alter ego, Stefan, who would certainly be buff.

I'm sorry I didn't get to stay up for the third period of this one. Eastern Time sucks.

  14. In my opinion, you either have to suspend both Pietrangelo and nurse or neither of them and I am an oilers fam believe me I would love nothing more than Pietrangelo not play again this series but fair is fair

  15. "Can't say it here or ill get demonized"…😂 Shannon is trolling. The reason is because of his younger audience.
PS ….Shannon gets nostalgic when he hears the alternative version.

  16. The reason that happened at the end of the game is squarely on the ref's shoulders. The swallowed their whistles on the most aggriegious cheap and dirty fouls but called the ticky tack BS instead…a human is only gonna take so much and then retaliate. Don't act holier-than-thou and defend Kane when he cross checked Petro in the face and Petro gets boarded and no call. EDM players are not angels and some of the dirtiest out there but are aghast when it gets done to them. The flops and embellishments by EDM remind me of watching soccer players diving to draw yellow cards…what a joke. Im not saying what Petro did was right but LD had it coming and that is the refs fault for letting it get that far. Hopefully the next game is cleaner but EDM has zero chance 5 on 5 so its obvious their strategy is to instigate and draw penalties.

  17. I think this series is controlled by Edmonton. If they play their game they'll win and there's nothing LV can do about it. All LV can do is try to throw Edmonton off their game. The Oilers are going to the finals. Dallas or Seattle won't be much of a challenge. Harder to say when it comes to an eastern team because they will be much stiffer competition. But right now I'd have to say Edmonton is the favorite to win the cup.

Fourth game of the series and after this one we're all tied up at 2. The first game was close even though the Oilers didn't play the first 40 minutes of that game. The second and fourth games were blowouts by the Oilers and the third game a blowout by Vegas. It's like they alternate nights they will play well. This game was really a tale about discipline. The Oilers mostly had it (though the third period was a nutter), Vegas didn't. While I can see Petrangelo getting a suspension for that overhead slash on Draisaitl (and I'm obviously hoping Leon isn't hurt) and I'm hoping Nurse is "retroactively removed" from being an instigator on his fight avoiding a suspension we'll see what the Department of Player Safety is going to do (my candid thoughts about that are most certainly not 'family friendly' to be posted on ANY website so I'll just leave some things to the imagination). Nuge and Bouch threadded very small holes for their goals. Ekholm seemed to have the whole net for his and Bjugstad had the wraparound (and it was a really good one too). It was really nice to see Nuge get off of the schnide and to have Ekholm score his first as well. Skinner had a great game making several really key stops and only letting one in (wish he could have gotten the shutout but hey, it's a win). All in all a great game by the Oilers. Oilers went 12/6 this game and it worked. I was really hoping Ryan would get rewarded but take it as it comes. We had depth scoring (Bjugstad), D scoring (Bouch, Ekholm) and Nuge scoring (Nuge). Take care all.

  19. That was one of the top 3 worst slashes I've ever seen. He could have broken Draisatls arm. And I'm not a fan of either team so I'm not biased. Petrangelo should be on Mars should be out for the rest of the series.

  20. Ahahaha at all the oilers fsns crying about the slash "its playoff hockey!!!!1!1!1!"

  21. watching the replays of McDavid and Draisaitl getting assaulted is just enraging. The NHL is lost in the sauce, violence vs talent. They will never learned. i hate that i like this sport.

  22. That slash has to be at least one game. The Oilers played hard that game and Vegas started to lose it. What a schizophrenic series. Highs, lows, one game one team dominates just to get rolled the next. Love it! Best series this year, so far.

  23. The best way to STOP THE CHURPING OF EDMONTON is for Vegas to SCORE EARLY and DON'T STOP! Game 4 was frustrating to say the least. Edmonton is a good team; A very good team. GET PHYSICAL GOLDEN KNIGHTS!!!

  24. Ive subscribe a while back mr the hockey guy. Nobody does it better then u. U are bettere then sportsnet tsn and espn. Thank you

  25. Peter Angeloo should get 2 games for a blatant attempt to injure. Could have broken a wrist and looked like he was trying to. Not a hockey play at all. I'll be surprised if the league takes it seriously though.

  26. Vegas fans always calling the Oilers PP merchants, meanwhile they go 0/4 on the PP last night💀🤡

  27. If Pietrangelo doesn't get suspended, something is very wrong. Nurse, by rule, should be also. Take 2 top dmen out will be interesting. I though LA was hard team for the Oilers to play but Vegas is turning out to be pretty tough physically. Getting past them and then the conference finals would be a massive victory even if the Oilers don't win the SC.
