  1. Am excited to see Brodie in blue and white,, he going be a good leader..and fan favorite..jumbo Joe, Wayne Simmons,, teach the younger ones, can't wait

  2. Many many new parts to the leafs this year in forward and defense I personally feel the leafs are better at both now dermots break out year this year or we trade him for sailor moon

  3. TJ is a good all around Defenseman, I am impressed at the way he takes control of the puck and makes that good pass, with out over handling it. Lets hope Holl and Dermott learn to do it right, just like TJ does it in most games.

  4. The fact that his NMC changes to a NTC after year 1 also means that Brodie does not have to be protected for the Seattle expansion draft. Fans and management obviously hope this won't make a difference and he plays well enough to warrant a spot on the Leafs' protection list, but should he prove to be a terrible fit (similar to Barrie), then they can use the space on someone more important and leave him exposed.
For me, I think Brodie will be a real staple on the team for at least the majority of his new contract. With guys like Rielly and Muzzin to play with, not to mention the endless firepower up front, I could see him putting up offensive stats that nearly match his career highs. He should help reduce the high danger chances against, but his personal defensive stats may take a bit of a hit compared to when he was in Calgary.

  5. The fact is TJ has never been any where near as effective whenever he wasn’t playing with Giordano. I’ve watched him play for years and he’s a strong passer who makes some really huge mistakes and he barely hits at all and Gio was able to make up for a lot of his mistakes. The way you talk about him in this video makes me think you haven’t actually watched him play much. he’s good with his stick, terrible with his body, can’t shoot the puck at all and has terrible turnovers at times, he wasn’t what the leafs needed at all.

  6. Not sure why Leafs fans are complaining. As a Habs fan, I'm not happy they signed Brodie to a very reasonable contract. This D core NEEDED a guy like this.

  7. Love what you are trying to do man, but damn your soft monotone voice just puts me to sleep… spice it up

  8. You do a good job but you tell people to relax and chill way too much lmao you pay attention to the haters man dont give them the time of day.

  9. 20 hits last year as a defensive Dman and he’s not soft! lol Real defensive Dmen throw 20 hits in two games! Definitely NOT a bruiser Andrew! Keep preaching to the Blue Kool-Aid sucking crew. They hang on every word you say as if it’s the Gospel truth! lol

  10. He's going to make the team better…Are you confident enough to bet the family farm on that Andrew? You are right about one thing referring to the Blue&White sucking crew: "this is why we can't have nice things" lol Your old man was probably saying the same thing back in the 70s especially when they got swept back to back years in the playoffs by the Habs in 78 and again in 79. Habs went on to win 4 straight Cups. LOL

  11. Brodie is like Jake Gardiner except better defensibly. Coughs up the puck quite often. The good news is he's good with his positioning and stick. playing with Reilly he'll be tasked to be a bit more defensive.
What should be of concern is the Leafs are way too soft overall to compete for the cup, and bringing Brodie in will not help that. Really, Flames let him walk while signing Tanev to a 4 year deal. Very telling with what D got tougher for playoffs.
