Experience has been a factor between Hurricanes and Devils

The Carolina Hurricanes are a team that has been here before, and they looked like it in Game 4. Jackie Redmond, E.J. Hradek, and Mike Rupp talk about how experience has created a gap between the Hurricanes and New Jersey Devils.

  1. Lol Carolina crushed NJ in 3/4 games played so far. Carolina had the puck virtually the entire time during game 4 and the devils spent most of the game looking like they had no chance.

Yet half of this video is talking about how awesome Jack Hughes is. For how dominant Carolina has been in this series, most of the analysts pretend like they don’t even exist.

  2. Why is it so hard to give the canes their props , short 3 of their top guys. Yeah Hughes is amazing , but they are getting their asses handed to them. How can you talk more about the devils in a blowout loss ?

  3. Devils will be okay but they're gonna have a juggernaut in the Metro to deal with until Rod quits.

  4. Centering the Devils in every discussion. There’s a team cookin them you could talk about too! First 30 seconds just Hughes skating around 💀

  5. It's as if the Canes aren't even playing in this series. It's all about how NJ is losing instead of how Carolina is dominating. I think it's because they hate the fact a southern team is this good without a star North American. Just my opinion

  6. I love how the mainstream hockey media spends the entirety of every single segment talking about every team except the Hurricanes😂😂

It's never that the Canes were just better, it's always that whoever they beat was just off that night. Some of these morons are even using the word "luck". Lmao! Yeah, right. So we "lucked" our way into a 5-1 win, a 6-1 win, then another 6-1 win all in a 4 game stretch? Hmm… okay! Lol! These "analysts" are a joke. But whatever, we get to see our team win and succeed! Screw the mainstream hockey media.

  7. Lady and gentlemen….NEWSFLASH….WE AINT THE RANGERS! Feel free to keep doing what your doing. The NHL will learn the hard way. You have a Category 5 waiting for you in Raleigh and no amount of ignoring it is going to make it go away. Good luck…your going to need it

  8. How about this: the canes understand that they’re a team. They’re not a group of guys just there to pad stats for “stars.” When the canes win the cup, it’ll be the canes’ cup. If Edmonton does, it’s “mcdavid’s cup. That latter scenario is too NBA for me

  9. Do yall hate us for moving from Connecticut and then actually succeeding at hockey? 😂

  10. One of our player that was on waivers has almost double the points of jack Hughes lol kids not built for playoffs

  11. ESPN, TNT, and now NHL Network. None of them will give the second best team in the league this year and who was the number three team last year credit. This is the type of game we have played all year. They kept saying the Devils were fast and yet we proved in 3/4 games that is not true. Hell one of the announcers can't even say Martinook correctly and thinks Aho assaults players with crosschecks and deserves to get batted in the head. PK is the only one I will take bias from in this series because he is a recent former Devil and he actually defended us in the 1st round.

  12. Very proud of the Devils this year, super excited about their future, but they don't seem ready for this level.

Next year, I hope for consistency more than anything. Maybe nit as much in the regular season, but here in the playoffs, it's been a case of Jekyll and Hyde.

Additionally, while the coaching has been really good, I've noticed some things that puzzle me. Way too much passing without shooting the puck. Trying to skate the puck into the zone too much instead of recognizing it's not there and dumping it in and digging it out.

Probably an inexperience thing; in college, it's easier to make that work: skate through 3 guys and score. It looks awesome and feels unbelievable. However, in this league, it's rare for a reason.

  13. The lack of respect for Carolina by major media is astounding!!! Hurricanes play an amazing structured game, as a team. And all the media want to talk about is individual players, hockey is the ultimate team game these dumb broadcasters can’t seem to understand this and only promote star players.

  14. Nah it's fine. Keep talking Devils. Canes prefer no spotlight and being the underdog.

The Canes could win the cup this year, but the narrative will be extreme. Either it was that everyone else fell apart OR they knew it all along.

  15. I want it to be a Carolina/Florida ECF just so they are forced to actually say good things about teams that aren't in the northeast. Geography shouldn't matter when analyzing a team's play on the ice. And I want to see a Vegas/Dallas WCF for the same reason. Canes are better so far in this series. End of story. Let's finish the job in round 2 and move on! Let's go Canes!
