/r/hockey is a nightmare. I mention the fact Kane got off with a slap on the wrist and he should’ve been suspended and BAM. A million downvotes. I love it 😂
I know a lot of y’all want retributive justice for the lack of discipline on Kane but this result only lends to how unacceptable Pietro’s behavior was there. I mean forget the ethics and lack of sportsmanship of chopping at an opposing competitor’s wrist. Alex has been around long enough and has been in a leadership role long enough to know that doing something like that at the very least *could* fuck his team up. I get emotions were running hot but the dude is supposed to lead this team by example. Pound the fuck out of someone with a clean check if you’re angry. Throwing a tantrum and looking like you’re trying to injure one of your opponent’s best players is a bad look and it cost the team going into the next game.
My fear is the rest of the series is going to be a bloodbath. Stone may never walk again after this: the entire Oilers team is going to double down on fucking up his back.
Kane’s a goon and an ass, but what Pietrangelo did was stupid. Both should be suspended, but I understand that the NHL is too incompetent to do anything about Kane. So Pietrangelo took his frustration out in a dumb move.
And now other players are gonna get fucked up.
Dude’s got no history of being a shit heel, right? I know it’s unpopular, but I believe he got fucked. Should have been a fine at worst, especially in the playoffs. McDavid whined this one into existence… there goes any respect I may have had for him.
Also, given the hacking, slashing and cross- checking on Vegas players, this series is woefully under-reffed. Who has to die before the zebras do their jobs? (Based on this statement, the Rangers will be fined $250,000.)

I don’t wanna be a doomer, but…is that an auto L for game 5? That’s way too important of a guy to be out against an offensive team like Edmonton.
I’m hoping the officials are all sent memos to knock off the lopsided officiating because that’s ultimately how all this came to be. That said, I’m sure the officials are calling the game according to the script the league wants them to follow.

Game one: calls were shit, but they were equitably shit.
Game two: Edmonton was behind, 1-0 VGK.. so even the slightest foul on VGK is called, but Edmonton could get away with anything and the refs…. uh… sorry we didn’t see it.
Game three: series is tied 1-1, some missed calls, some soft calls, but both teams benefitted equally.
Game four: 2-1 VGK, Vegas called for farming in edmontons direction, Edmonton can basically murder someone, and nothing is called unless it’s mandatory, like yeeting the puck over the glass from your defensive zone.
Game five: I expect to be like Game one and Game three, refs will still end up being shitheels, but they’ll be equitable about it.
