Considering two players in the regular season got instigation penalties in the last five minutes and didn't get suspended, no. And Pietrangelo basically got a slap on the wrist
So Pietdouche got one game…the message sent by the nhl:
"Don't bother fighting a willing player in the last 5 minutes, just axe chop their wrist from above your head, it's the same length suspension plus 10 grand cheaper to do."

Pietrangelo should have gotten at least 2 games.. but refs lost control of the game.. he was targeted on some cheap shots but not called so he took it on himself..

How sad when speed and skill are traded for fighting and using sticks as weapons.
Nurse is the instingator as he was asked to fight and his opponent dropped his glowes and got some hits in first

So you’re telling me, a slash on the wrists is worse then a cross check to the face (kane) or a cross check to the back of the neck and then another hard cross check to the guys back when he’s down. (Bennett). Both have a history as well and both didn’t get a suspension. But Pietro gets a suspension for a slash on the wrist. Seems to me a cross check to the face or the back of the neck might be a tad bit worse. That’s just me

Technically yes. Back story, NO. Reffing proves again just how inconsistent and poor it really is. None of this is necessary if they would just open their eyes and make the calls.
What is the league's problem against the Edmonton Oilers?? It seems like every bad call that happens goes against the Oilers.The series is hard enough against the Knights, they don't need to be playing against the refs and the NHL.
In the end the league’s message, “what Nurse did was was worth more punishment than what Pietrangelo did. Period”
Nurse didn’t drop the gloves first. Nurse got punched 7 time before he dropped his gloves. Klimt Kostin was speared. Did Theodore get a game to suspension no the little stupid for hockey supervisors not to allow nurse to play. Did Patreon Petro line Pete Angelo we don’t know that’s far worse.

Am I the only one that wants Dallas Eakins to go away? Not a fan Sportsnet. More Bieska types hosts and get rid of the washed up coach. I’m sure there is a junior B team that needs some help.
Should've have been assessed an instigator; both players wanted to fight. Add the fact that Pietrangelo got only 1 game for deliberate intent to injure, the league looks like a total clownshow at the moment.
