He is going to play one year with a garbage roster, and then there will be a huge uptick in the roster talent for 2024-25. The Hawks also have an insane amount of cap space with the Kane and Toews contracts coming off the books. They can bring in a bunch of talent. There isn't much out there this year, but next year they could possibly bring Alex DeBrincat back in as a FA.
