Charlie McAvoy: Bruins Still NUMB After Game 7 Loss to Panthers | Exit Interview

BOSTON, MA — Bruins Defenseman Charlie Mcavoy talks with the media as the 2022-2023 season comes to a close.

“Kind of numb still. It’s hard to really put it into words right now…it’s so fresh, it’s hard to even put into words what went wrong or where it wrong. It’s the ultimate disappointment right now.” –

  1. I hate to say it because Mac has been one of my favorite players but he’s ultimately one of the main reasons they lost along with lindholm. I don’t know what happened after game four but they just fell off. Turnovers and getting stuck in their own zone constantly. Other guys were bad too(Clifton,Forbort) but these are our top moneymakers and they played like crap.

  2. If your team is that good moving players to different lines shouldnt matter the chemistry should be the same all around

  3. I look at it this way. The Bruins averaged 4 goals a game and lost. Most of the blame goes to their defensive structure and goaltending was weak.

  4. this guy standing in front of the net with his stick angled up to tip it in for Florida signed a one-day contract with the Panthers to go to overtime

  5. Yeah, well, you had the winning formula and then your coach decided to start swapping the lines in every game and not play Swayman when Ullmark was injured. Simple as that.

  6. Top players went missing after game 4 think all in there minds the series was done. Over confident complacency terrible turnovers horrible line changes and not swapping linus and sway out like the reg season they chocked amazing talent going to waste sat watching the playoffs instead of competing 😢

  7. My favorite play of series from chuck, was when he waved Ullmark to head to the bench for extra skater, then proceeded to pass puck of Clifton’s skate back into their own zone, negating that opportunity. We’ll done 👏

  8. Enormously bad turnovers by the B`s did them in. Defensive play in their zone was horrible. The team in general looked very dysfunctional the whole series.

  9. i'll tell you what went wrong. The bruins underestimated the panthers and they got burned because of it. they never thought for a second that they could lose the series to the panthers. what 5/6 chances to close out the series and they just let it slip away. credit to the panthers because as much as the bruins choked, it was the panthers that defeated the best team in the history of the NHL
