I don't want PLD as a hab. I'm not convinced he is a next level player.
Kent Hughes will never trade away Josh Anderson, one of our most valuable forwards, for a guy that we can get for nothing in a year…that would make about as much sense as drafting Dvorsky ahead of Michkov.

2. Duck pick Adam Fantilli
3. Colombus draftLeo Carlsson
4. San Jose pick Smith
5. The habs skip Michkov to draft Dalibor Dvorský or David Reinbacher
8. My guess is that Washington draft Michkov and get their futur star after Ovechkin retirement.

Michkov is the one to pick for MTL if available when they’ll speak. Russian invasion can’t last more than 2 more years so everything will fall in place slowly but surely. To play in the KHL 2-3 more years isn’t a bad thing. It’s now time to be patient and keep working on the culture they want to establish, it’s gonna pay off for many years to come…
If the habs skip on Michkov to draft a safer 2 way player I'm done with this organisation. I've been following for 20+ years and its time they get a fucking forward superstar for once…
They always overspend on players from Quebec. Not interested on PLD.

I would say Carlsson is going 2nd overall and Montreal selects Ryan Leonard and make a trade offer to Vancouver if Pellika or Reinbacher are still available.
Dubois isn't coming to Montreal, no one wants him including Francophones.
With pur later picks we can try and draft a RHD or trade for one.
Could you imagine a team with PLD, Josh Anderson, Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky and potentially Leo Carlsson!!! I honestly believe Montreal would be the only team with 5 players that are really skilled at 6 foot 3 or bigger 😮😂 I’m gonna have to search this up but I don’t think any team in the NHL has forwards that big and players that are second line player or first line players I’m not talking about 3rd liners or 4th liners I’m talking about 5 top 6 forwards lmao even if they don’t get Carlsson and they take Mitchkov and they go and get PLD I don’t think there’s a team out there that has 4 tops 6 forwards at 6 foot 3 and bigger I think the only one that comes to mind is actually Winnipeg and maybe Dallas I’ll have to look into it but I think that would be amazing if Montreal can trade up to get Carlsson and then you have PLD, Anderson, Carlsson, Slafkovsky and Dach but at the same time if you get Carlsson does it still make sense to get PLD in my opinion no it doesn’t you should be looking for a winger instead of a Center or a right shot defender
Personally, I hope Michkov is drafted in the top 4. Habs don't have a good record drafting russians. He could be the exception but it could blow up in our face too. We need to hit on this top 5 pick or it'll hurt us down the road. I don't see this team drafting in the top 5 next year or beyond short of winning the lottery. I think we'll be closer to pick 10 next year.
We are not going to get PLD. This guy is Drouin. We just got ripped of Drouin, we don't want him back. We will take Michkov at #5 if he is the best available. Caps will beg us to trade Michkov to them.
Im starting to think Leonard might be the guy. He's a 1st liner all day long. U could be right with all 3 predictions too. Lots of options for draft night.
Honestly, I've been thinking along the same lines regarding the draft order up to the fifth pick; Will Smith won't be available when the Habs get on stage. I believe the two best players available at fifth, will be Michkov or Carlson… we'll see.
I agree with the first prediction as a very real possibility but I doubt that Anderson will be a part of the Dubois trade in any way. Winnipeg has no leverage whatsoever, we won’t be giving anything of huge significance up for him.
PLD is a Drouin 2.0 with his attitude, we don't need that, I'd rather we go for Lafreniere or Kappo Kakko tbh!

Carlsson est un choix logique pour eux.
Winnipeg came out and said they wouldn't be rebuilding. Their business model might nor survive it. So I could see them going after Anderson because he has term. I don't think they'd take Edmundson because Eddie would leave as an FA. Also I would trade Anderson in a heartbeat if the price was right. He's good but he is also 28 and I don't seem him becoming more productive at this point. At that price tag, I would trade him.
If we don't draft Smith Carlson or michkov this management is no better than bergevin
