[Roumeliotis] Blackhawks officially own No. 19 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft after Florida advances to Eastern Conference Final.

They acquired the additional first-rounder from Tampa Bay in the Brandon Hagel trade. I did not expect the pick to be that high when Kyle Davidson traded Hagel. Having picks 1 and 19 is really good, especially in a deep draft. I am curious if Davidson plans on moving up in the draft as well. He has so many picks to potentially move to try to move up.

    Use this pick plus the fact that Vancouver is absolutely desperate to offer them something no other cap-leveraging team comfortably can: remaining in a solid 1st round position while shedding cap.

    To Vancouver:

    – 2023 Tampa 1st (19th OA)
    – 2023 5th

    To Chicago:

    – 2023 1st (11th OA)
    – One of the following contracts:
    * W Conor Garland (3×4.95m)
    * RW Brock Boeser (2×6.65m)
    * RD Tyler Myers (1x6m)

    Then in an ideal world we use that 11th OA pick to shop with one or two of our plethora of 2nd’s to target Ryan Leonard or David Reinbacher somewhere in the 6-10 range. And if not them then snag Michkov and go home cackling
