  1. The Gerald Ford was in Portsmouth for a few days in December on its way to Europe to support NATO. There are videos on YouTube of it.

  2. A decade to produce a single aircraft carrier is astonishingly fast.

    Another astonishing ship-building tid-bit:
During World War II, eighteen American shipyards built 2,710 Liberty ships between 1941 and 1945 (an average of three ships every two days), easily the largest number of ships ever produced to a single design.

  3. Not really arming as much as it seems…it's just the all have vertical takeoff and landing so it's much easier to operate

  4. China has only 2 aircraft carriers and the newest they spoke of is still being outfitted. America has 12 with 2 more Gerald Ford class being built. There is no country with the budget to build more than 2 to 4 at most. Only the U.S. has the funding to build so many. The U.k. has 2 carriers. So China can try to match the U.S. in ships and aircraft but will never have the ability to out build the U.S.

  5. What’s up mates from across the pond? So the last bit of your video made me want to just say I was down in San Diego and took a tour of the USS Midway it’s an older carrier but man it’s amazing. Like you said it is still an Impressive , huge bit of kit ,and indescribable of how small you feel when on these type of carriers. So I can only imagine what being aboard a Gerald Ford class would feel like. 😮🫠

  6. ONLY the USA & France have carriers that can launch conventional aircraft rather than the shorter range, smaller payload V/STOL aircraft Like Harriers.

  7. Most people in the comments are right it’s what it will cost to operate over its lifetime and the weapons on board air craft on board its just funny to me a guy that grew up with my father in the military how much people don’t realize what we actually have

  8. Russia and China show no sign In slowing down the development of their militaries, so it's good that NATO are keeping up.

It definitely feels like we're slowly inching closer and closer to another global conflict that will pit the West vs the East, and for the sake of freedom and democracy, the West has to ensure it comes out on top

  9. If it takes even 20 years for the next class of carriers they'll be fusion powered, not fission powered.

  10. the Gerald R Ford ha already visited the UK. There's videos on Youtube of people recording it

  11. In the event of World War III, the United States will do everything it can to assist in the defense of its NATO allies and its Major Non-NATO allies, but will likely have to prioritize taking Cuba off the map ahead of that, since Cuba could offer Russia and/or China a stepping stone from which to attack the US Gulf coast, and New Orleans is probably the key for any adversary to defeating the United States, due to its position being the location where the Mississippi River meets the Intracoastal Waterway and approaches the sea. The United States will probably need to give the highest priority during such a war to keeping enemy powers the hell out of the Gulf of Mexico.

  12. Why is it that Dave sounds bitter about the second WW everytime. Look mate, America didn't start the war, but they damn sure finished it and then help rebuild most of what was left of the crumbled European nation. Let it go!💯💜 That aside great video. Daz being impressed by that guys French was A1, loved it! 😆🤪

  13. China has our top general in their back pocket. It’s no wonder they get ahold of military schematics to copy. General Milley literally said he’d call China if we ever were going to attack.

  14. I think the editor of this video was having a stroke. The narration and captions are all over the place 😂

  15. Look, I'm as red-blooded an American as any other, and I love trash-talking the French as much as anyone, but holy cow they have been fearsome warriors throughout history. Present day is no exception. They helped save our ass from you bastards during the Revolutionary War, which most Americans seem to forget. Also, if the UK doesn't start exporting its mustard to the U.S. within the next 8-12 months I swear by God and sonny Jesus I will make some phone calls and sink your entire navy. Vive la France, and a . . . pretty long life to England. Cheers, Blokes!
Addendum: Dave is rocking those glasses.

  16. spend 8 bills on crap we dont need wile people over here sleep in the street im an ex g.i were not hero's thugs maybe heros lol nope

  17. Are all of these pompous military-ad videos narrated by former X Games announcers? I'm surprised there's not a Quiksilver or Stussy logo somewhere on it.

  18. The design and testing takes YEARS and THOUSANDS of people. My husband was part of the X47b UAV design/testing group. That project (the vehicle itself) was shelved. Not sure if any others are developing but that was my hubby’s baby.

  19. 800B is the entire defense budget. We don't have a problem building weapons for war. We don't have any interest in giving Americans decent healthcare though. Tells you where our priorities are.

  20. have seen the carrier put a 60 mile per hour breeze across the deck in calm seas……with no wind….so 30 knots is a joke……
