Keefe has to go, getting outcoached with a team this good and deep on paper to a wildcard team is simply unacceptable. He's also made some pretty questionable decisions, with the ice time he gives holl for example. Keep the core 4 too imo, you'd lose any trade you make with them. We have to play the cards we're dealt, simple, and I don't think its the team overall that's the problem, it's the coaching staff that's lost the room.

biggest mistake was signing tavares (although i love him)… that was the first domino… then we lost Kapanen, Kadri (i was devastated when we let him go), and couldn't keep a lot of our depth guys… we didn't need johnny T… we needed to balance out the rest of our team… and our cap situation woulda been fine… i was so puzzled when we signed him.

Nylander is soft, but hes insanely skilled, can steal the puck, wins battles through skills. Its going to be a tragedy if they blow this team up. They didnt win, ok, dosent mean that blowing the team up is going to make them any better. But the irrational logic of losing that many times says they must, so they will.

I'm sorry Leafs fans but I just don't think this team has what it takes to succeed in the playoffs. Too much flash and not enough meat and potatoes. They have got to make some big trades to try and change the culture of the team. Easier said than done though

You're not going to win with a Nylander trade. You got him on the cheap. Keep him. Matner? He should go. So should Tavares, but who's going to take him at his salary?
And another thing – Florida clinched the play-offs with one game to go. This wasn't due to Pittsburgh losing on the last day. That loss (to Columbus, I believe) let the Islanders, not the Panthers to clinch the play-offs.
Would rather trade mathews than marner of nylander, can get more and hes a free agent next year anyways who might not resign

I find it weird how no one seems to be reporting that in the OT goal Gudas is literally holding the blade of Jarnkroks stick, preventing him from even attempting to poke check cousins. How that’s not a penalty is beyond me.
