Whatever player we will get in the top 5, will be a great player for us.
Michkov: basically another Kaprisov with even more pure goal scoring abilities
Carlsson: already ready for the NHL, reminds me of Kevin Hayes but even faster and skilled.
Smith: a Mike Ribeiro type player with a better shot and not drunk everyday.
We're in for a treat, let's not screw this up with a Dvorski or Benson…

I dont know why, but I feel like Carlson will be a perfect fit for us.
Here’s a crazy thought….Hugo trades down for someone they covet more and maybe pick up a prospect or additional picks. Stranger things have happened. Or maybe they do the opposite and trade UP to a higher position. They certainly have the assets to do it.

The main problem with Michkov is If he's goign to get call for the war. I don't know when the WAR is going to end but it's not going to end well. At this point, you take the best player available, no matter what
I think Anaheim might go michkov because they already have zegras. But I really don’t mind getting smith or Carlson all 3 are extremely talented

Carlson, Michkov, Smith… its pretty much guaranteed one of them will still be on the board and will be obvious choices.
if michkov is available at 5, i dont think its certain habs take him.
The prevalent view is that Cbus would want Will Smith ahead of Carlsson … smokescreen in my opinion… It makes more sense for them to go after Carlsson.
Smith could be at Boston College for the next 2 years whereas Carlsson could be in Cbus next NHL season. That team needs to be good sooner than later (while Johnny Gaudreau is still in his prime).
So that leaves MTL with either Will Smith or Mitchkov … depends what SJ does.
Apparently the Columbus Gm really wants a big center..So i'm guessing the sharks wouldn't pass on Smith. Yolo on Michkov fuck it man..

Anaheim has never hesitated in the past to pick talented players no matter what and they need a talented winger so I think Michkov will go second , Columbus love picking outta the ncaa , so I think they’ll take fantilli and I don’t know how smith go lower than fourth with what he’s been doing
Which leaves the habs with carlsson
1. Obvious 2. Michkov 3. Fantilli 4.Smith 5. Carlsson

If Carlsson is quite good or really good in the Worlds, hes gone at #5..As a Swede i can tell, the management is really high on him so there might be top6 minutes, and pp minutes for him.
I think Montreal should really consider trading up to 4th overall San Jose seems like a team that would want more assets and Montreal could certainly throw them a forward prospect and a defensive prospect and 5th overall to guarantee they get Smith, Carlsson or Mitchkov cause at 5th overall it’s a little risky cause Montreal won’t pass on Smith or Carlsson but there’s a good chance they pass on Mitchkov and I think Smith or Carlsson will be gone at 3 and if they move to 4 they can get Smith if he’s available or Carlsson
I think this would be an excellent draft pick for the habs hopefully he falls to number 5 spot
I’m 100% agree with you but I think if Michkov still available at 5, we will hear « we are proud to select Dalibor Dvorsky » and yes, I’m gonna throw some punch in the air if that happen
yes grab him as i dont think russians should be allowed to be drafted as that supports putins war sorry but thats my opinion

I always wanted Bedard or Mishkov.
I don't mind waiting because we normally wait a year or 2 for prospects.
The fact that Mishkov will be at the draft, to me, is a sign he will in the NHL.
I fear Smith because it was originally the top 4, and he jumped up lately… Like a combine warrior in football.
Bottom line, we will get who is left.
