Sammy Walker is on his way home after sustaining a tournament-ending shoulder injury in his first World Championships game for USA vs Finland. Told he’ll be ready for camp. Coincidentally, Jon Merrill also hurt his shoulder his first game for USA last Worlds. Was a worse injury.

Damn
Glad he is okay, loved him in Iowa
Does the world tournament hold much value for developing our players.
Hate seeing guys get hurt in exhibition games.
Wow that sucks. I love Sammy walker. Kid has a very bright future and I hope this doesn’t hinder him too bad
Pleas don’t take as long as Haula to recover
Merrill got injured in the tournament last year as well, correct? There’s no real reason why guys should be doing this tournament, not that I really want Merrill to be a guy we need to play a big role come October
Tough break for Sammy. Thankfully (or not for some of us hockey fans) there is a ton of time for him to heal before camp opens.
Hope it won’t get in the way of his lifting and gym work this summer. If Sammy gets a bit more heft I think he’ll be a NHL’er, but it’s hard to do that with a bum shoulder.
