This is Chicago sports. It wouldn't surprise me if the Blackhawks trade the top pick for a massive haul of draft picks and players. If this was my choice. Bedard would be my pick.
Look, just let the kid come in and play hockey… He's NOT a "savior" that will automatically win the Hawks Cups…. It's going to take time – and it's going to take a GM that is willing to grow these kids and find out what their roles they fit, and where they fit in on this team… I mean what made those Blackhawks teams that won Cups so great – is that everyone knew their role, they knew how to play it and they knew exactly where they fit in a puzzle… And right now the Blackhawks are where they were back in 2007-08…. Of course they went deep in 08-09 (losing to the dead things) and then won the 2009-10 Cup…
What the Hawks need to do is let these kids grow among themselves – as a team – then they move on to the NHL… I mean what throws any "wrench" into this plan is indeed Connor Bedard because he's NHL ready, and so advanced….
Look, regardless of what anyone thinks about Kane or Toews – they have to come back and teach these kids… And you know what?? I would have thought that wheas impossible a few weeks ago – NOT so much anymore… Connor Bedard needs a wing over him and that wing is Patrick Kane – Much like Denis Savard took Kane under his wing – Kane needs to take Bedard under his wing…. And I don't care what you woke weirdo's think with your "frat house" er "good riddance" nonsense….
I would re-sign Kane to mentor Bedard – they are similar players — look it's a perfect fit for Kane now… The Blackhawks could creep into the playoffs like they did in 08-09 – and Kane has a kid on his level he can play with…. I mean you're talking like Lemieux – Crosby and how much they learned – and how much it did for Crosby to play with Lemieux……..
