Anybody who steps in a ring or cage deserve all the respect in the world and he did what most (wouldn't myself included) listened to his body and knew his limits and it will save him a lot of future problems and injuries
When a fighter says hes done and no longer feels he can continue ..coaches and his corner need to shut there mouths and listen to him, no motivation speeches or none of that , listen to the fighters instinct , he knows when hes had enough and cares more about his life/health then winning , continuing could cost his life
He took a fight on 5 days notice and that happened to be the first fight in the ufc, I feel bad for this kid… He showed a lot of balls to take that fight, but clearly he wasn't ready. It would have looked better for him if he had just tapped in the middle of around
I'm not saying that he did wrong by quitting but he should have done something to save his pride. He could have just pretended to be knocked out or allow the guy to make him tap. But I guess he didn't think of that at the moment
