Why would that be a goal ? You can't assume it went in even though it seems likely that it did. You have to DEFINITIVELY confirm it went in. And you absolutely cannot do that here.

Its kinda funny. There is something called a continuation goal, where if the whistle blows and then the puck goes in, the goal will count. Forgot to tell you part 2 of that rule, it doesnt apply to any Canadian team, anything to get Canadian teams out of the playoffs.

Too bad, but we have a goal judge and two refs to see if it crosses the line. Then there are multiple cameras. The ref makes the call and the command center looks to overturn based on evidence. Too bad it doesn't add up for the Leafs.
What really is the problem is the Leafs were outplayed overall and one goal makes little difference.

Yes it’s a goal. Bobs did a great job by keeping it hidden and dragging it out so the ref has no definitive call. The ref made the right call but the NHL review room should have called it a goal.
100% was a goal but they are paid to not allow Canadian teams to win, just like Calagarys cup winning goal in 2005 that was disallowed then later seen to clearly be a goal.

at 1:54 of the video you can clearly see the puck in the net…… btw not a leafs fan. but the nhl is rigged against canadian teams so expect the same level of reffing in game 6 and maybe 7 of the oilers vegas series.
