    I've watched Hurricanes hockey since 01. The one, constant thing that was/is present in this organization during its successes, and absent during its failures, is Rod Brind'Amour's influence.

    Second only to his Cup raise in 06, in terms of the most significant moments in the club's history, was the day he was hired to be its head coach.

    Since then, the management, ownership, trainers, assistants, staff and players have seemingly always been on the same page. And no one can convince me that he isnt the biggest reason why this team has had the last five years it's had. Which makes sense, because its always been him. As a player, as a coach, he's always been THE Carolina Hurricane.

    The Most Qualified Coach in the NHL!!! He has created the Best Atmosphere with a Group of Players ever!! He will always be on my Best Player List and Now Best Coach List of all Time!!!

    It's so much fun watching him win a cup as a player and then transition that success into coaching. Couldn't be happier for him.

    I think the players, ownership, and fans realize his most important qualities. He is genuine, hard working , and cares about people. We caniacs are lucky to have him.

    I've never been a STL fan, a PHI fan, or a CAR fan, but I've always been a fan of Rod "the Bod".

    This guy, is just the full package. Warrior on the ice, sportsman, and now, a solid coach. One of the very few reasons I didn't mind seeing Carolina win the cup in 06, was this guy. A career like he had, with all that heart, it would've been a crime for his name to not be on that cup.

    Best of luck in the ECF, Rod.

    As a devils fan, I knew after the first 2 games that Carolina was gonna win that series. I was admiring they way Carolina played. A complete team game. Like everyone said this team will run through a wall for brind'amour. This team is going to beat either Florida or Toronto no problem.
