My only issue is… what do they do? Like are you going to trade Marner? Nylander?
I think we have to accept the fact that… they’re going to run it back next year with a new coach.
Tavares (as slow as he is) is a much better hockey player than marner so I have no problems just getting rid of marner and bringing in a power forward or two
LOL trade Matthews to who for what? His contract is up after next season, you arent gonna get a 1op 10 pick this year for him. Kings dont want a loan. You are stuck with him unless you tank next year and trade him to another Toronto try hard mid season.
Well, i'll say one thing.
It certainly was not Woll's fault they lost. He was solid all the way through. The Leafs failed to score 3.
This might be a cracked take, but I really think if Knies didn't get hurt, Leafs would have won the series.
You know no Canadian Team has won a cup since 1993 . Same year Gary Bettman has been Commissionar. In the 80's Flames, OIlers, Habs all dominating cup runs. VERY F@#@ strange that NO F$$$ Canadian team has not come close since BETTMAN has become league commssioner. Sports are random and strange things can happen bc of the randomness . Thats said with the Leafs its very predictable of the end result. FANS are being manipulated. You can keep on pointing fingers at the players and coaches and GM's but so many ppl leave here and move on and have success elsewhere. I think the bottomline is the real problem is deep rooted within the leafs organization.

Changes are coming
Due to a major outbreak of COVID-19 the remaining Leafs games for this season have been cancelled. We apologize to the fans. Wait till next year.
Analize things to death but something is not right when they have been so inconsistant for so long . Consistantly losing or consistantly winning . There is something wrong somewhere . I.m convinced there is politics involved in management and the referee mafia .
Like the Leonard choice and to some degree the Benson choice.
A team can never have to many of that kind of players – 100% effort every shift and especially with skills like Leonard or Benson. (Look at the Toronto exit from the PO)
And having more RD really can’t hurt, especially with the lack of defensive skills with Mailloux.
So if he is still there with the second pick, I would look at Willander. And if not, maybe a goalie Trey Augustine or FWD like Otto Stenberg (16 pts. In 7 games at the U18)
Good podcast but one scenario that I heard elsewhere and wonder where you would be on it is the suggestion that Matthews holds all the aces, and could veto trading his buddy Marner just by saying if he goes I won't sign. Thoughts?
