I agree. Im canadian too and i find alot of our fans obnoxious to the point i prefer vegas over edmonton. Go knights
Seattle,should of named their team,the Metropolitins,the 1920scup winner!
The USA versus Canada debate to me is not where the players are from but where they would rather play, and the currency they would rather have too
You be surprised how many fellow Americans thought it was ballsy we called Detroit, Hockey Town. I always pointed out the fine print on the sign. Hockey Town, USA.
An hour outside of Vancouver? I wonder where abouts, we could be neighbours š¤
Who knows what will happen after Texas and Florida become independent countries?
For the state of Minnesota all teams have been kind of a state of Minnesota so it didn't matter if you were within the city or not you could still root for the state which has guesses kind of like country for the Canadian teams
As an American fan who roots for a Canadian team (the poor old Flames), I think to be a hockey fan in the US you have to be more dedicated because the NHL, in its infinite wisdom, makes it very hard to follow the game down here. You have to look for it, while I think in Canada, from what I hear, you actually have to make an effort to avoid hockey. That doesn't make the US fan a better fan, but maybe a more determined fan. I couldn't imagine a more trivial argument. I mean, who cares? As for the make-up of a team, who cares about that too? I remember the Blue Jays winning the World Series and it was looked at as a great Canadian triumph, and I don't think there were any Canadian players on the team. I'm not sure. Dave McKay might have been a coach because he was there for many years. And there was nothing wrong with it being a great Canadian sports moment. It's just a game, man. It's supposed to be entertainment.
canada teams vs the refs
Yep this was something Oilers fans used against us Kings fans in the first round. They probably donāt realize that Kings fans stuck with the team through the tough 20 years.
Glad I'm not the only one still calling it the Czech Republic on accident!
0 and 1 yerstday 37 and 35 record in the playoff
oilers
Killni' Me – so why is the Sunday night game a late game? NHL could easily have moved it or picked to start it as 5, 6, 7 8pm EST – FAIL!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday: 0-1
Overall: 33-38
Today: Oilers
If the Stars and Golden Knights can win their series, you'll have an all Sun Belt final four in the NHL.
Couldn't have been a 5 oclock PST start could it? Some people have to hit the sack.
So as far as fans go, what defines ābetter fansā ?? If its rioting in the streets, flipping/burning cop cars when there team loses, then yes, Canada has more āfanatical fansā. I can recall any time that happened in America.
Edmonton is the last Canadian team left. Let that sink in.
Did the Blue Jays and Raptors steal their sports when they won?
4 Sunbelt teams in the Final Four makes me laugh thinking about how pissed it makes fans of Northern Teams
8:29 Would the exception be Montreal (do they do an equivalent chant in French instead of "Ref you suck", or is Montreal bilingual enough for it not to matter)?
I went to a game in Nuremberg Germany, sat by this old man and his wife and their daughter or granddaughter. The daughter spoke English the couple didn't. But they were laughing at me in the old man because every play we reacted the same š couldn't understand eachother but spoke the same hockey language š
Iām from Detroit. I would say thereās many hockey fans in Detroit, Buffalo, Boston, Chicago, Philly and Minnesota that are as knowledgeable about the game as any Canadian. And are probably just as big of fans, and good of fans. I guess because we didnāt riot twice like Vancouver did weāre not good fans, according to the lesser iq Canucklehead crowd. Dunkin Donuts>Tim Hortons too š
Yesterdayās record: 1-0
2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs record: 35-36
My pick for today:
– Oilers
I love that you talked about this subject as an american I get frustrated hearing canadians blame the officials or Bettman but if it was vice versa I would probably feel the same way.
Can you imagine the parties in Edmonton if they made it to the next round.
Appreciate your take on the Canadian teams! I hope you donāt have to make the video about the drought! Watching hockey growing up I had 3 heartbreaks the Canuckās losing to the bruins in the final the oilers losing to the canes in the final and the flames losing to the lightning and a couple years ago the Habs losing too lighting. Could this be the year I finally get to see a Canadian win for the first time in my lifetime Letās goo oilers šØš¦šš
Straya! Kiwi in Brisbane here, love the channel watch it every day!
3 goals in the first 3 minutes of the game, I love this series
