For people saying Campbell should of started. You are on glue. He had every chance and more to gain his teams trust. He is a brutal goalie that never should of been signed. His stats were the worst in league all year. So don’t go crying wolf now. This team has no chance until 97 n 29 commit to defence. Plain n simple.
Connor McDavid gave it his all and deserved better. He completely lead his team into victories. Leon played hurt. I can tell his wrist wasn’t good. I am so sick of the stupid media bragging about Eichel and comparing McDavid and Eichel. Enough already. McDavid dealt with the players given to him and lead the way. Eichel is nothing more than a freeloader on Vegas who have been to the finals and conference championships before. The conference championships this year are a complete waste of my viewing. Buttman has ruined the NHL with his stupid playoff format and expansion. Yes Campbell deserved to start but let’s face it. When you lose game 5 .. it is hard to come back as this was a grueling series so close. Connor and the Oilers will learn from this playoff experience and never look back and forge ahead next year. Just need an offensive defenseman like Erik Karlesson and better defense man. More role players and depth. McDavid showed why he’s captain and a world class player and leader. Oilers will be back.

I know it’s hard to deal with the defeat but you will learn, survive and be stronger and more ready next year. Maybe get a cup winning goalie and get rid of the GM and Jay as coach. Hard to believe they have had the best two players in the world for a while now and have done nothing. Also in two years LD is gone and CM is gone in 3! There is absolutely no chance they resign them to new long term contracts. Both of them will be gone extremely soon!
We just dont have skilled enough depth they don't know how to create space. Constantly in the wrong areas for rebounds. We needed points from Hyman, Nuge, Kane. I love Yamo but hes just to small and weak for the league. If he had Johnny Gaudreau skill it would be fine but the reality is he doesn't. Our Defense was terrible but Vincent Desharnais needs to be sent down to minors this guy is brutal. Skinner played good both goals in the second our defense was out of place.
This teams ready I don’t wanna sound bias but the refs really screwed them tonight and this happens with all teams but Vegas gets all the refs help don’t believe me remember the Montreal series yes Montreal barley won it but the refs were sure not giving anything to Montreal same when Vancouver matched with Vegas it’s ridiculous. Plus I have this feeling the refs don’t want any Canadian teams to win don’t believe me again why did the goal count when Kessler held Talbots pad down huh explain that. The refs are awful and even more awful with Canadian teams. Last year how the hell did the goal stand when Maker was offside. Plus side is Edmonton has guys that will be better Bouchard will come back better Skinner as well. No need to completely panic all the oilers have to do is make some adjustments Campbell is a question mark CeCe will probably be gone Holloway will be called up and the team will be back in the playoffs. I feel teams play there best against the oilers but the oilers need to find ways to break through the hard checking and come up with different strategies. Last year the loss was not that bad because it was more of a proud moment on how far they went. This year hurts more because more was expected from them.
The time is running out and we still heard about disappointing feelings from Macdavid year by year, its a pleasure to heard that especially after 2 round, I would like to hear that from the most overrated player of all time Draisaitl 😊

What is McDavid going to say in honesty? "Yeah, I get paid a shi*-load, which affects the ability to balance out the team, but, meh, I will eventually be traded to a contender when I am much older who will pay much less for me; until then, money, money, money. Next question."
So many mistakes – by all the players and the coaches as well. Too many to name, but they really got sub-par goaltending and should have switched to Campbell much sooner. – perhaps even after the game he was pulled in the LA series.

The refs missing that high stick that drew blood was a big mistake that could have been at least a double minor if not a major.
