Lets recall that Campbell saved the LA Kings series by making some huge saves. The problem was that when Campbell came into the Knights games the game was already over. Big mistake by the coach for at least not giving Campbell 1 game. I feel that the coach did not have any guts to make the call because he may have been scared of the criticism. It's a business make the business choice don't worry about hurting skinners feelings. The Knights knew how to beat skinner.
This was the only game I wanted Campbell to start, home game with the crowd, I don't think it would have been a big surprise. Woody was all in on Skinner which is understandable but 3 pulls before this game, should have been Soup to start.
We had a lot more issues than goaltending. Coaching, defensive zone coverage, 5×5, lack of contributions from key players, lack of discipline, inconsistent effort from period to period and game to game etc. We also underestimated how good Vegas is. Plus, the reffing was atrocious.
Some of the coaching decisions were mind blowing all series long.
The inconsistency is something we struggled with throughout the season.
My father in Law, who is a Ukrainian refugee was asking all playoffs why we kept starting skinner. That's how obvious it was to him. Do I like Woody. Yes I do. Do I think it was a mistake to keep starting Skinner because he played so well in the regular season and was a major part of us making the post season? Layered question, but yes. I think Campbell should have started game 6. Do I think some changes need to/will happen. Yes, but not as dramatic as people may think.
Skinner wasnt the answer and it was obvious. Campbell earned his start when he came in and stole the game in the LA series imo. Huge missed opportunity to give Campbell the net and skinner the rest.
Top six fell through the basement, bottom six stepped up. McDavid and Draisatl were good.
The mismanagement from the officials on ice and behind the scenes came to play. Vegas kept up their play and played good, but they got too many breaks.
Woodcroft gets tunnel vision and it hurts us when the margin for error is small.

I was saying days ago they need to put soup on for 2nd periods. you can't give up 3 goals every 2nd period and expect to win ANYTHING.
ps you can blame the defense all day long but there was no scoring past the first 2 minutes of the first period for edm

Fly Ceci to the moon
I would have started Campbell but we are not quite there. Yamo out Holloway in, get another strong D.
Get ready to trade Drai
Would you trade skinner for Tristan jarry?
You can bett on it with the buttman.
So they are going to pay 6 million for a backup in Soup , that’s a lot of cap space for a backup
i hate Canadian teams. except Toronto. they're my favourite. they make their fans so miserable, and they're ironically so easy to cheer for.
Alberta teams get so much corporate welfare, and they and their fans deserve losing so much.
