  1. If Holland was able to get the Lucic contract off the books, here's hoping he can do the same for Nurse. At $9M+, there's got to be better d-man options out there… throw mini-moto in Nurse's pocket to sweeten the deal👍

  2. McRegular is requesting a trade this year to go any were there might be a chance to win the cup!!

  3. ceci has to go, yamamoto is terrible. we need to find nurse a new home no matter how much it costs to get rid of that contract

  4. Yes. Ceci, Yamo upgraded and then the epic story of how to deal with Campbell.

  5. If there were a way to move Nurse and get back a competent D man, great. Hard to imagine.

  6. You trade Ceci and Yamo. Move Holloway into 2nd line RW. Hes cheap, but bigger, stronger and more aggresive than Yamo. Use the money to get a defenseman.

  7. without changing the personnel that Edmonton have, develop a team defense to offense transition, maybe a neutral zone defense that quickly transitions to offense zone; rather than looking to change personnel

  8. If you can Cody ceci maybe you lol at
Orlov for 4m he’s older now so maybe he would take that

    Carson Soucy
Scott mayfield makes the most sense to me
Luke schenn maybe but that’s more of a depth player
    Or maybe a Radko Gudas

  9. offload Ceci + Yamamoto and re-sign Bouchard. Holloway, Foegele or Kostin can fill in the gap on the second line. Also will need to seriously consider offloading a top 6 to sign a strong D similar to Ekholm/Nurse (experienced, proven player who can play hard defense).

Because let's be real, if we lose Ceci and don't find a serious replacement, things are going to be even worse for us next season as we would be playing 2 of Desharnais/Broberg/Nemo, with one of them on the top line?

  10. So, did anyone else notice that this game Bouchard played nearly 7 minutes more than Ekholm and nearly 11 minutes more than Nurse? I know he's an RFA and we have the hammer so to speak but the kid won't be cheap, not if you want to keep him. What about McLeod. He really helped out the team last year with as friendly of a deal as you can get but you know part of that was a not team friendly payday in 23/24. Did he earn that (and how much is it). What about Janmark, Kostin, Bjugstad, Ryan, Shore (bye bye methinks for at least Shore). Look folks, I know people are saying get rid of Campbell but who's going to take him. You'd give the Pacific Division type 2 diabetes with the amount of sweetener that would be needed. Even if we could afford him I can't see Winnipeg doing a one for one for Hellebuyck can you? No body owes us any favours so we let the office see. There are exit interviews. Some may not want to be here because we didn't win the cup this year (I have no idea who but there may be some). Lets see who we have for sure and who the optionals are because there are a number of kids in the AHL who are no longer waivers exempt and it's either trade em or keep em. Take care all.

  11. Trade Yamamoto and a pick or high draft prospect for a 2/3rd line dman. Yams is 3.1 mil a year for 1 more year it’s not a bad contract for a team looking to add a hard working 3rd line winger and if oilers sweeten it with a 1st round pick they could get a decent 2/3rd defenceman and they could even trade out or buy out a contract like devin shore to add a bit more cap space and then call up Dylan Holloway to replace Yamamoto. Oilers weakness is defence and this is the only trade I could see the oilers making that would actually make the team better.

  12. They have no cap room. The nurse contract is one one the worst ever.

  13. Ceci , Yams , McLeod , Janmark , Foegele , Campbell should all be on the market . Outside of Janmark and McLEod , the rest are overpaid for what they contribute offensively or defensively in Ceci’s case . Janmark and McLeod are just offensive black holes .
