i think ASP goes at 11 to vancouver, but it's possible he goes earlier. no higher than 8, though.

We have enough young / good Defense players .. we need to pick attackers or a goaltender

The best D available is Reinbacher. I've been saying this for several weeks and now amateur observers and several independent scouts realize the value and qualities of Reinbacher in several aspects. He's a complete D and he's right-handed
I don’t think Button’s list was a mock draft.. Regardless mtl will not pick a D at 5. Button lists are more like teams list would be. All over the place team per team. As opposed to consensus or McKenzi’s survey based lists.
For the record, Button is an idiot. Look at his track record as assistant GM in Dallas and GM with the Flames tells you everything you need to know about his analysis. He's also the guy who railed against Russians playing in the NHL, over the Ukraine war, but has never once advocated the same for US or Canadian players, despite the fact that those two countries have also been involved in illegal wars of aggression. He's a clown and a hypocrite.
I think we need to seriously consider Mitchkov, and if not him then Will Smith 100%

smith is very similar to bedard in matter of performance, smith is also a two way center
smith is going to be much better than bedard
I think that Axel Sandin Pelikka going is quite a reach when you look that overall draft in 2023. and where defensemen are going. There will better defensemen available for selection in the 2024 draft.
Well ASP stock may go up since Reinbacher sustained an injury(Swede – Sandin hit).
Hopefully it's not too serious.. but if Reinbacher can still play and impress after getting rocked..
my stock in him will rise.. that was a legit NHL hit.
As for habs picking ASP at in the fifth spot.. well still have some time to evaluate him..
his skating did improve and overall.. helped his game a lot..
I have no Idea what Montreal should do with the 5th pick. I trust they will do the right thing. I like the direction of the team and believe we have a lot more NHL prospects than most think. We just need someone capable of 100pts and the cupboard will be full. Maybe that guy is there already and just about to emerge, but this upcoming draft will really fill up the cupboards well.
You can go on about Farell all night long. He won’t be a star in the nhl until he isn’t afraid to go into the corners to retrieve the puck . He’s not even noticeable in Habs games and I hope we see more from Hutson who’s aslo smaller
