I will admit that I wasn’t super excited about this trade deadline deal other than the nostalgia. But did Schenn ever prove me wrong. He played great for us. Would love to see him again next year.
Let Holl walk and sign Luke to 1Mx2
Like likely winds up on an overlay from the canucks. They can’t attract much and they loved him there, and will likely overpay

I’d gladly take him back BUT he isn’t going to get quicker as time goes on. Giordano’s age I think showed to be a problem down the stretch and into the postseason. Guys like Gio/Schenn shouldn’t play every single day moving forward. The Leafs need to have guys come in and spell them from time to time to keep their legs fresh. One of the ways you make this team better is by having more speed on the back end.
I was very very surprised at how well Luke played…. Def would love to keep him. Simplified his game and it’s perfect for us an cheap. Really hope we keep him.
I would pay him $1.25 MM – $1.5 MM PLUS bonuses if giving him bonuses is allowed under the CBA.
I would love for Schenn to stay. Problem is he hasn’t made a tonne of money (relative) over his career. We can’t afford to give him term or anything over 1.5… a mid team could probably give him double what we would offer him.
He bought a house in Toronto (neighbours with Kaberle) and had a newborn when traded. If I was in his shoes it would take a pretty significant contract to uproot my life that late in my career, he obviously likes it here.
I bet he didn’t love the minute he accidentally took out samsonovs legs.
Schenn brings a lot of elements that are lacking on the Leafs. If they deal is right bring him back.
Luke was amazing. His return was like a career victory lap and I hope it continues here.

There were rumors that we were willing to sign him in Vancouver for 1.5m but with Vancouvers cap problems we probably can’t do it anymore. Hope he signs with you guys if possible then.

Knows his role, plays within it and plays it well.

We need to get more players like Schenn to make up for the lack of Killer Instinct from Core 4.
