Something going on behind the scenes for sure
i like these smaller clips. very useful to keep up to date..
All the best best to Niku . He is just a few short years from winning AHL defense man of the year as a 20 year old. It's just he was never able to make that jump to the NHL with the Jets. Now that Jet defense and prospect pool is so much deeper he fell to far down the list to keep. I hope there is a NHL team out there to give him a second chance. He is very talented and deserves another shot. He still has Europe as a fallback so good luck Sami.
they are paying him anyway–why not get Brian Little off the books and hire him in a non hockey position –like scout or consultant etc???
Hammer that button!
Comrie is no nhl goaler. Huge mistake not bringing in more goalies. Rumour is FurnitureBoy is going with a Chipman family member
Niku had flashes but he just made too many mistakes at this point in his development.
no team took him because he has a 1 way contract for this year at 750k the mutual termination allows him to sign a 2 way deal for 750k with a new team that he can be sent down to the ahl now.. where he wasnt eligible on his current deal. it frees cap for jets and allows him to fight for a spot somewhere else ( he was to far down wpgs depth.)
It's been fun to watch Niku develop. I agree with JH 100%. He has the talent and the passion. Prove the haters wrong!
