This would be a tremendous hire. Glad we get this news after hearing they’re interested in washed up old guys like Bowman and Hunter

Leafs fan here, losing Pirdham would be a major loss for the leafs. The only question I have is that he’s known as a capologist but I’m not sure how good he’ll be with respect to the other GM duties of scouting for the draft / other teams for trades etc.

Would this mean we’re not pursuing Dubas?

Some information that caught my eye about Pridham

    * Been w/ Leafs since 2014, promoted to AGM in 2018.
    * His role in Toronto is to “assist with salary cap analysis, contract negotiations and collective bargaining agreement interpretation for the team”
    * Prior to 2014 he worked in the NHL front office. and that part is easier to just quote directly from the [NHL.com](https://NHL.com) article about his Toronto promotion.
    * Pridham joined the Leafs from the National Hockey League where he most recently served as Senior Director, Central Registry and Senior Advisor, Central Scouting. He began his career at the NHL in 1999 as a coordinator in NHL Central Scouting. In 15 years with the League, he served in a number of capacities in the Central Scouting and Central Registry departments with duties that included serving as the contact person for NHL General Managers, Assistant General Managers and NHL Executives on issues involving the CBA, salary cap and NHL Central Scouting department.

    Just hire Conroy.

I’ll be offended if we hire some random AGM before the guy we’ve been prepping for the job for years.

Eh, I’m wary of all things Leafs, especially when sports media starts hyping them up. But this guys seems to have gone completely under the radar so, maybe that means he’s actually good?

    Still waiting for my interview…
