Is Winnipeg’s Defense Legitimate? (Heinola, Pionk, Niku Talk)

Many people would say the Winnipeg Jets’ defense has taken a fumble in every way, shape and form. Sure, experience may no longer be a big piece to the core, but with the likes of Ville Heinola, Sami Niku, and Neal Pionk, the top 4 actually looks good. Add Morrisey to the line up and the top 4, and in a year or two, it can be one of the deadliest.

  1. Good video, I was hoping the canucks would have drafted Ville hinola

  2. You kidding me with buff? Sure he makes iffy plays after the whistle, but he almost never throws a dirty hit. Almost every hit he makes is shoulder to shoulder or shoulder to chest, its not dirty. Might be taking a bit too rough, but doesnt every hockey player do that? its a part of the sport

  3. Neal Pionk, Villie Heinola, Sami Niku, Logan Stanley, Dylan Samberg, Declan Chisholm. The future looks bright.

  4. Im sceptical. Veinola is good but lacks grit and is small anyway. Niku hasnt really showed much yet. Pionk is great but we still need one reliable Dman this season.

  5. Pionk is good, hits like crazy, good both offensively and defensively. Morrisey, Niku and Heinola together, thats not a PO defense core šŸ™
