Kevin Weekes reported there are sources saying that Columbus might send Quick somewhere else before the deadline ends

As a Kings fan. It sucks to see him go. But the fans need to get real. Hes been not good for years now. LA was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Im sure they tried to get Chychrun and Vejlemka (spelling error), But they wanted to include Peterson in that one. They had no choice. Hes to competitive to just retire. And losing his job to Copley didnt fire him up.
I agree it is sad with Quick – he was essential for Kings earlier.
However I am very excited about Kane to Rangers lets go!
If he gets flipped to the Leafs b4 the trade deadline than it could be a great way to finish his career
I don't understand that Quick deal. He's old and nearly finished, and they're getting Gavrikov?

As much as people hate the Bruins, they've got a loyalty thing going. A lot of Gatorade and gas money loyalty contracts. GM fired the coach and basically turned the team over to the players.
The team owners have hockey players as both the president and general manager of the hockey team. Actual hockey players!

I think my bigger worry with Quick being traded is does the upsetness of the rest of the team lead to them not playing as well in front of Korpisalo as they did in front of Quick, because if they do that could very well cause Korpisalo to look like a worse goaltender than Quick even if his overall play in net is better.
Just a bad move. This move may have been justified if the LA couldn't count on either of their goalies. But Copley has really taken the reigns of the starting job and done a great job. So Quick could have just been the back-up in what was probably going to be his final season. The Kings didn't need Korpisalo with Copley playing so well.
I don't think Quick ever plays for Columbus. Unless he's moved again to a competitive team, he's probably just going to retire immediately.

The most insulting part will come when the kings retire quicks number and attach his name to their team forever. That’s really fucked up. It kind of ruins his entire legacy that they just fire him right at the end of his career after he stuck with that team through decades.
Wild fan here, it sucks that Jonathan Quick got traded from the Kings as I myself just became an avid watcher of the Kings along with past seasons including the 2014 Stanley Cup and it’s a bummer but that’s hockey.
As a Sharks fan, nobody tormented me more than Jonathon Quick in my whole life. That week was the worst week of my life. But he deserves better than this.
You don’t trade guys that played their entire career in your city and won two Stanley cups.
take the personal out, it improves the team, in the end of the day its about winning, and I respect Blake for doing it
😢 Peterson should have stood up for quick as Peterson sucks cobly isn't even that great im a LA kings fans 17 yrs now and if Rob Blake is going to be happy he's stupid and this move is going to destroy kings this yr and probably for awhile cobly is like a better Cambell golie and with just Peterson and cobly I'm not sure whats going to happen I still am pissed off about this trade bs it makes no fn sense 😡🤬😤 like no hate then my opinions because quick in my opinion is the greatest golie period I'm still hope we win Stanley cup regardless as the saying goes once a fan always a fan win or lose kings forever 😎🤴LA kings Rule ✌️💯
I think I would be more ok if it would have been any other team than the VGK. I hope he retires after the rest of this season.
This was the first trade in any sport that made me cry to sleep.
