It feels like yesterday he was when he was playing his first year as a Leaf. Now he's a grizzled Stanley Cup winner
Luke exceeded my expectations, as I had doubts that he could be effective as a top 4 D with Toronto, but I was wrong. He & Rielly were absolutely solid in the post-season & I wish the team had been able to limit their mistakes vs Florida & got some better puck luck given the number of times they hit posts & crossbars shooting at Bobo. If even only 30 % of those iron shots had gone in, I believe the series turns out differently. My rough count over the 5 games was at least 12 posts & 7 crossbars. Matthews alone hit 5 posts & 2 crossbars I believe, + Tavares, Kerfoot, Marner, Lafferty, Rielly, Acciari, Jarnkrok, Bunting, Nylander & a few others all hit iron. They ran into a red hot goalie & made some costly mistakes that aided Florida.
If they don't sign him, I call Schennanigans!!!
Schenn is our true leader, should be captain. And to add he's a looker. lol

If he was so good why the hell didn’t we keep them the first time around! You can’t have anybody good with this core 4. How many years have they been trying to win now! And they still suck! Typical leafs they might as well be run by Justin Trudeau!

He's really grown as a player since his first go around with the Leafs. I'm so much more impressed with his play now. I really hope they keep him.
If the leafs had another player with the same heart as this man they'd still be in the playoffs.
Small potato's but why didn't they use Conor Timmins? Schenn played well, but Holl, Lilli, gustavsson… I think using a smart puck moving D-man, who also puts up points in Timmins against Florida would've been a no brainer
I liked Schenn since draft day, dude's would have been a stud in another era but regretfully he doesn't fit this team. His game is shy on the puck and aggressive on the body. Leafs could not breakout of their zone against Florida and struggled with Tampa.
I love Schenn, plays a man's game but I don't see him as a fit on this roster.
