The NHL announced the finalists for the Hart Trophy, and as a surprise to no one, Connor McDavid and David Pastrnak were on the list. Maybe a little surprising was Matthew Tkachuk. Absent from the three finalists were Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen. Should one of them have been in the mix?
We also give J.T. Compher his season grade, and a lot of the fan comments divided it up into two parts. His regular season grade and his postseason grade. They were quite different.
Finally, we ask again the question on NHL scheduling. A playoff matchup, the only playoff matchup on the schedule, started at 10pm Eastern. Can someone explain this?

I don't like Tkachuk being named a Hart finalist, not that it matters much.
Unfortunately, it's the East rule. With valuable/Heart, Mack had the 2nd best team's goal for % even with few games, and due to the team's injury, his points help win a division. With McDavid year, it was hard to create noise, especially at the end season
I think Florida, their story of beating pt team and Leafs. Everyone loves a Cinderella/underdog story. Plus, 3 teams have a shot of winner their first ever cup.
If the bar is set for the 2C (Kadri numbers) as the expectation,(Kadri excelled last year while players were injured) JT missed that mark, despite having a career year. I'd like to keep him but back on the 3rd line, and not for 2C $.
The Compher grade is a little confusing to me. Lots of A's and B's but wouldn't a good regular season and an invisible post season equal a C or less? After all, playoffs are all that matter, can we be honest?
And another season for McDavid without the cup! 🏆🤪 Tut mir leid, Leon! 🇩🇪 I enjoy watching the playoffs, hope DAL can win tonight. Matthew Tkachuk? Makes me vomit! Please, God, do not let Florida win the 🏆!!! Rantanen, MacKinnon, and even Draisaitl deserved it more than Tkachuk. Mikko and Nate give a damn, they have a ring, much more important, right, Connor???? 🤣
Regarding voting on YT, when I go to the community tab, I only see voting for Bo Byram nothing else. I like watching games at 7pm, like yesterday. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
From what I understand, the playoff schedules are set beforehand. There was supposed to be an afternoon game but the Leafs leaved the playoffs early. The NHL then approached ESPN to move the game up to the afternoon slot but they had already filled it with baseball. So as much as I like to gripe about the League Office this one's on the Leafs and ESPN.
Also you're looking at free agents to spend the Landy salary on when we should be looking at guys that have a year left, trade for them so we can dump them if Gabe comes back. I hear there's a great guy in Toronto that's pretty good that would solve the 2C problem.

I think the NHL cares more about the local time puck drop. 7 pm puck drop on the east coast is 4 in the west. Two east coast teams get a full 48 hour turn around between games but Dallas to Seattle is 46 hours if maintain 7pm est puck drop.
It's glaringly apparent, the NHL doesn't give a F about what these🏆 are forspirit of the🏆& fans will only argue for change if their team is involved. 🫎=MVP & IT'S NOT CLOSE
