  1. He’s a project, but he could pay off, either as a roster player or as trade bait if we’re close to a Cup at some point. Dare to dream.

  2. Very excited for this pick. Big kid aggresive style . Will be exciting to see the development in the BCHL with the chilliwack cheifs !. Took on USHL heavyweight fighter John Druskinis in ushl and obviously dominated in the highschool league with impressive stats.

  3. Hoping for the best for him but I kinda think he is a longshot to ever play a NHL game. If he makes it though, that frame is exciting.

  4. is this the first time in a long time since virtanen that canucks have drafted local? if not, then what other players have we gotten from bc or close to bc? it seams so rare that we draft canadian?

  5. Saw this dude in the NBC documentary Road Through Warroad. Pretty excited that we drafted him 🙂

  6. The Canucks don't seem to want to draft Canadian, much less a BC boy… so while he is a long-term project, I am also hoping for the best…

  7. Just wait and see what happens. Guy is a goal scorer also. Another interesting pick. Good upside.

  8. I'm from warroad and this kid is a beast. I see him as potentially the 3rd top 6 forward to come out of our small town in the last 2 decades (Oshie, Brock Nelson). His family is hockey first, his oldest sister Kayla is the most impressive female player I've ever seen in person. She would literally skate around everyone on he ice. I think he may be related to Henry Boucha too, but im not 100% sure on that one.
