    Would the Sabres really want to give up UPL, Rosen and a first round pick for one year of Hellebuyck ? That's what is being discussed. Levi is the franchise goalie. I can't believe that Adams is considering this.

    It's not about blocking Levi's success it's about guaranteeing playoff success, while letting Levi develop into a professional. Yes, he looked great but say he struggles next year and they miss the playoffs again. That's a lot of unnecessary pressure for a young goalie. I think it's a brilliant move.

    Idk what would need back but maybe savoie+1st+Luukonen or something or if another jet could be added like Chisholm,Nikkanen, Gustafson,Barron.

    Levi will be what Connor is and maybe more! Still get him here and do a 60/ 40 split. Fair for both players! Done!

    Levi without a doubt is the long term answer in net for the Sabres. But do you really want to give him the reigns right away? Especially considering that next season will be his first full season in the league. Because if that’s the case and he has his struggles, do you really want to go to UPL or Comrie when the goal next season is playoffs? HELL NO!

    Potentially adding Hellebyuck not only helps Levi in the long term, but it makes the Sabres a legitimate threat in the East heading into next season.

    If you've even followed levis career youd know he has taken the longer path and developing and rushing anything isnt his first priority. Look at the Spencer knight situation, Theres nothing wrong with an experienced guy whose arguably top 3 at he the poisiton ahead in the depth chart. Time and time again levi expressed how valuable having a guy like anderson was in the room, you dont think a guy like hellebyuck could teach levi some things? or that levi wouldnt lookup to what hes accomplished in the league. What about even more internal competition to make levi great by having to compete with one of the best? you dont think hed welcome more of a competition knowing itd help his development? Heaven forbid we make the playoffs and have two really good fresh goalies. As for the Elc contract, sabres have plenty of cap , so id rather spend it where its needed, which is goaltendending when you look at the Goals against expected and where the sabres ranked. We would still have room to add defence as well to that, its not just one or the other.

    My opinion is that if sabres want new goalie it should be someone like Andersson. Not goalie in prime. But I would prefer duo Levi and UPL, because I believe that Levi will be main reason and motivation for UPL and he will bounce back next season. He will try to prove everybody that he still can be that number one goalie. ideal scenario will be if both will play similar number of games.
    To be honest Sabres dont need new goalie, they need 1 or 2 defensive defensemen to boost defensive play and Penalty kills. One as mentor for Owen Power and one hard hitting. I would love someone like Gudas, Dumba or Schenn.

    I’m not in favor if the price is too high. Adams’ current plan is long-term success. We still have to lock in Dahlin and some of the others. Not overspend and go all in for 1-2 years. That’s what the Leafs did. A good goalie alone won’t be enough to win the cup. The Sabres need to learn how to defend and hit more to survive the playoffs.

    He'll yes Levi can learn from 1 of the best and we will get to watch the Sabes,in the play offs

    Connor would problem make them a contender… can't argue that part.. they were a top 5 in scoring last year.. but before Levi blew in… also near the bottom in giving up goals… so you suddenly put a top 5 goalie on that team… anyone can do that math… instant contender… but Kevin Adams is not a fool. Levi looks like the real deal and he'll go into camp as the starter… Connor would block Levi…. So that just appears to be a no go.. Kevin has stated publicly.. he's not about to go get someone to block this teams youth…

    A tantam of an established goalie and our future goalie looks pretty enticing. Competition is a good thing. Can't blame KA for kicking the tires and seeing the asking price 👍

    I agree and disagree. I agree spending money on better defense or depth scoring would be a smart play. But I disagree on Levi. Yes he will be great. But he was playing college last year let the kid develop as a backup for a year or two first

    I'm a sabres fan and yes we are very excited to see what Levi can do but we also realize that Levi is only 21 years old. UPL was very inconsistent last season and our best goalie in Anderson retired. I think get grabbing hellebuck to fill the starting goalie spot while Levi finds his groove is exactly what Buffalo needs to do right now.

    To the Jets: Jokiharju, Oloffson, & UPL
    That would be cool to have Hellebuyck.

    Levi needs a vet to help him along with his growth.
    I think it would be awesome to have him on our team.
