Citizens have caught on to politicians who tell you this is the best deal in history. Citizens now react to 100% in opposition to the "best deal in history" comment. Well done citizenery.
we should do salt lake or houston or kansas city. utah is a huge hockey market, and only has nba/college sports atm. tons of interest to bring nhl and mlb to utah
I think they'll move to Salt Lake City
Houston Coyotes then, I guess?
Quebec would require a lot of persuasion of Detroit/Columbus. Or a Canadian Division.
No way Atlanta should get another team. History has proven they won’t support hockey. It’s time to put another team in Canada. Quebec City is the obvious choice. I miss the Habs / Nordiques rivalry.
As a former 3rd row season ticket holder, management is completely dysfunctional. I cancelled my tickets because they said to me they didnt care about the folks on the west side of town because they really would rather be on the east side. They didnt pay their bills and didnt try to put any kind of competitive team on the ice for years and years. Goid riddance. Maybe we can get a minor league team that are more fun to watch and cheaper prices.
Wherever they go, it's gotta be a Central division location. Houston, Salt Lake City, Kansas City, Green Bay/Madison, etc
Houston Aeros yes , Atlanta never again , Kansas City Scouts yesb, Quebec isn't big enough . Doesn't have the money and why give Canada another team that can't win a cup anymore !
Welcome back to the Houston Aeros!
Houston time
Houston is obvious. Big market. Rivalry with Dallas built in. Has to be western location for division alignment.
Houston Aeros..
Think another Canadian team would be nice, but if you want a big market with tons of people Houston, Toronto, Quebec. How's Wisconsin or Iowa like in terms of population that enjoys hockey? Another Cali team in San Fran would probably work as well. Would be a bloodbath in California come playoff time.
I can hear Shane Doan softly crying from here in Halifax. I feel for the fans and players of this franchise. It truly is disappointing to hear that they'll most likely be relocating.
This team is not moving to the East…period. I've been to Quebec and it would work brilliantly there, but it's not gonna happen which is a shame. Atlanta is out too. I lived in Milwaukee for 35 years and was a season ticket holder for the Admirals of the AHL and I can say firsthand that Milwaukee is NOT an NHL city and wouldn't draw 17,000 per game, also it's too close to Chicago being just an hour and a half away. Houston is the fourth largest city in the US and hockey has worked there in the past. My money is on Houston. If they do move there I hope they don't keep the name Coyotes.
About time
I live in Detroit and I think Phoenix goes to Kansas
I think its either Houston,Milwaukee or Kansas City, I've also heard rumors of Salt Lake City being in the mix but much like Atlanta if they go to Salt Lake City I think it would be better as an expansion franchise instead of relocation
Reminder, had they been managed well, they would still probably be in Glendale
Bring back the Nordiques!!!
Quebec
Where ever they move to, I hope they stay out West or Midwest. I’d hate to see the Red Wings get moved out of the Eastern Conference again.
Oh no, not anothwr american expansion team getting the curtains drawn, who couldve seen this coming? Regina could use a team
Went to many many coyote games when I lived in Arizona and definitely loved the team. They are far removed from the tkachuk, roenick and doan days but I felt like Keller was gonna be a good catalyst to give them a chance at some good playoff runs like they had in the early 2010s. Last year I relocated from Arizona to an hour away from Atlanta so if they brought the franchise here I would support them wholeheartedly
Why would they conduct a public referendum instead of automatically begin arena construction?
BOLD PREDICTION: Coyotes fans in New York City take to the streets and protest outside the NHL head office
Bold takes aside, Houston seems the most likely candidate
Also what are the odds the Coyotes secure a last-minute arena deal?
As a canes fan who always had a soft spot for the yotes, I’m devastated. It wasn’t long ago that everyone was calling for the canes to move, that they didn’t have enough fans, etc. There was always enough fans, the team just hadn’t done enough to bring them in and keep them around. It stings seeing another team in a similar situation fall on the other side of the fence, man this just sucks
Save this team and send it to Quebec, please!
I would love to see them be moved to Nova Scotia but no way the NHL and Betman would ever let that happen
Kansas City
I think the easiest option is moving into the footprint center
