I always enjoy every year of expecting a different outcome. (The definition of insanity) Once there was Overtime, after poor defense and odd man rushes, mixed with lackadaisical play, Tampa was never going to lose this game. Toronto might have a chance this year. (Shhhh..it's better for the NHL if Toronto finally wins a series. You know, money and all. That's all "professional" sports is about. They can't have Toronto lose this year. Even if, they are by far the worse team. Tampa's defense and cherry picking up ice, is weird to see this year. So many odd man rushes. That's Toronto's and all NHL teams based in Canada's game. I've watch all six games and still, if a puck hit me in the face on a full slapper, I still couldn't name ONE TORONTO DEFENSEMAN. (Sorry, proper "English" is "Defenceman". You do have it correct there, but even the sane languages change into dialects from Latin.) Go Leafs? If Tampa Bay is too tired of winning. I give Toronto a 40% chance of winning game 7. The problem is: The NHL know you GOOFS will be back in full, even if they lost every game of the year. (Let alone game 6) Toronto is the better/more money spent Edmonton. Top heavy, with two clowns that can score.
Love watching the maple gays lose! Can't wait for another 1st round exit.. funny you say McDavid plays 45 mins but Matthew's and marner are on the Ice every second shift cause they have no one else to score…. Matthew's is still 3rd maybe 4th best player in the world…
The Refs totally helped TB win last night. I believe that Hedman faked that high stick to the face and anyone can prove me wrong on this, go ahead and try. When the Leafs were in the lead Tampa’s management tried to play it cool, but there was tension. Vasilevskiy is beatable and Tampa Bay is beatable. The Leafs will prove to be the better team. The Referee’s better call the game right tomorrow night!
I’m a Tampa fan and I’m about to bet A LOT of money that we lose game 7, literally 0 chance of winning, we are currently playing the worst I have seen in the last 5 years, GG’s Toronto, good luck against Florida
The refs could not have handed the game to them on a shinier platter if they tried. Missed too many men, phantom high sticks, bunting elbowed in the crease, matthews dragging killorn around like a ballerina. I think of all previous series, this one will hurt the most as a fan because the leafs genuinely played better and deserve to win
The thing about this series is so far the leafs haven’t even choked, no big lead collapse (so far), really no sloppiness other than maybe that blowout loss but every team is going to have a bad game and at least it happened during a not so pivotal game. What I’m trying to say it hasn’t been in typical leaf’s fashion to fuck it all up. They’ve played well, the stars have shown up, goaltending has been good, and defence aren’t playing like absolute goofs. The unfortunate reality is that even if we do lose the series we can’t be to mad, we lost to the lightning which is a good excuse lol, and this would still be considered an improvement with how we’ve handled the series just by simply playing like a team who belongs in the playoffs.
