  1. On most big market a coach would be fire Sheldon Keefe would be fire years ago

  2. Love how you praise Leaf players, then thoroughly troll them once they leave – SOP for this crew and other Leaf-centred media. The Leafs, Dubas, Keefe, Marner and Matthews are the true laughingstocks of the NHL and will continue to be. Sorry guys. Just facts.

  3. Where are the Leafs' defensemen? Why does Toronto always focus on forwards?

At times, I thought T.J. Brodie was playing for the other team. They coughed up so many pucked in their own end. The best player on defense was Schenn — a tired, old slowpoke.

  4. Washington ram it back for 15 years before Ovi n the Caps won a cup. But it only took 3 years for Kane n Toews to start their dynasty.

Also, why is it every year, EVERY YEAR!!, the other team has a better goalie, or they’re “opportunistic” or are tougher, all of these excuses. The Leafs do not deserve ROR and his second chance efforts, this team plays a well structured system, but don’t have the players to execute any killer instinct moments to thrive, always busy surviving. This team and system plays a Try Not To Lose style, Florida plays to win. Tampa 2022 played to win, Montreal 2021, Columbus played a terrible Leafs team with 0 heart.

  5. This is what happens when the GM and all the fans are too in love with their players and cannot see the facts. It's like a beta male who still wants to be with his gf who cheated on him, but he thinks it can still work out.

  6. I love the discourse around Vegas and the cap, it really brings out the worst in fans of other organizations. Here are the facts – Stone had TWO back surgeries in 9 months. Vegas timed the surgeries to give stone the best possible chance at returning for the playoffs. Vegas still won the entire Western Conference without their captain and arguably best player. Getting mad a team for planning for a playoff return of stone, is beyond ridiculous and if it was Toronto doing this with Mathews or Marner, the boys would be on their knees praising pridham for his cap magic. As a side note – none of this matters. The team on the ice that just beat the cup favorites oilers, was cap compliant.

  7. Dubas was great at his job but he was a driving force behind what became the "Shana-plan". Dubas did well but the plan was flawed – running it back amounts to literal insanity. I hate this but Dubas needs to go because HE DESERVES BETTER.

  8. I think if they do run it back, a full season with Robertson, knies and woll make a big difference. Thats a much better lw that allows dubas to do alot more with the middle 6, especially if the can bring back orielly, accari and one of aston resse or or lafferty. They have players like niemela and mcmann just to name two that can slide into nhl rosters. And two 1st round picks in the next 2 years. I think if they move on from keefe finally, they have alot more options lineup wise than most playoff contenders do these days. New coaching and finding a way to keep robertson healthy along with knies, and more work done on the blue line will help a bunch. A bit that fosenf really get talked about is how torontos left side seemed very weak sfter knies went down, and he just started in yhe league. Its hard to play good teams when 1/3 of both top lines cant keep up against better competition.

  9. Dubas has put together a great regular season team and he made some great adds at the trade dead line . It is only my opinion but Keefe would be the first one to be fired then try to move J T for a D man and let go or trade Kerfoot and Bunting , Brodie , Holl , Murray , liljegren , Timmins , ZAR , Järnkrok , Gustafsson . Get some big nasty players with the free cap space and stop bringing in guys who are snow flakes .

  10. Run it back? Absolutely. 56 and counting. Tradition is important, and your tradition of losing should never be disturbed.

  11. How can they run it back? They have run it back for four or five years now with the same result each time. That faith they profess in the core, well I don't have it. So either show me a trade that improves the core. Marner for some game changer and a little cap space , for instance or blow it up , trade them all and get prospects and picks and in five or six years you are back hopefully with a young talented group that is a little larger and that you have budgeted for a little more adroitly. Oh and don't resign Dubas. and Fire Keefe.

Has to be some consequence for nine straight years of futility married to a capped out roster.

I imagine Dubas will do much better in his second NHL GM position where he will learn from all the mistakes he made here.
