  1. Stiff to compare Heeney to all of those superstars lmao, no one is near those 3

  2. Top 5 skillset in the league, but he plays like he's manufactured rather than passionate about the game.

  3. we haven't ever given him a crack on the ball, we needed him to play forward for structure, just goes to show these blokes don't watch our football

  4. No mystery. He is playing on either the wing or starvation wing in a team that gets belted around the ball.

  5. Pretentious crap. AFL players and the like are well and truly overpaid. What do they contribute to society? The people would turn up and watch the local footy if the AFL didn't exist. This is where you pay grade needs to be assessed. How does what you do contribute to society? The more money one gets the less someone else does. We are about to grow up in a huge way and all of the ideologies based in money are about to be piled in with the rest of the failed systems we have created to feed the rich. We all need this and no one can avoid it. All will be held accountable. For all are being exposed.

  6. Word around the Sydney camp is that he's playing injured ATM. But still, I think he's quickly becoming the most overrated player in the comp.

  7. Heeney is just that X factor player but the truth is the Swans really need to get more out of him, he is having an extremely poor season unfortunately

  8. Theyā€™re all overpaid from the coaches to the players. Itā€™s only football and it doesnā€™t advance the world in any way. So what if they are only playing for 10 years. My low paying job could end tomorrow too.

  9. Here's a solution to assistant coaches leaving, pay them more. AFL is one of, if not the worst professional sporting league in the world when it comes to overpaid administrators. In the NBA for example, they players revenue share is 50+%…in the AFL it's around 30%. Our coaches and players are underpaid, while our administrators are obscenely overpaid.

  10. Sydney is by far smashed with injuries, entire backline is out injured, captain out injured in midfield and two of our main forwards out injured

  11. Heeney can mark and he can hit a target, but he cannot run. If he goes into the center he runs out of fuel quickly. He is the same sort of player as Ryan O'Keefe was for the Swans. A very good half-forward flanker.

  12. I do not agree that players are underpaid? Not many jobs where you can just run around and kick and handball a ball for the money they are on…real workers put in 40 – 55 hrs per week to earn 50K per year – and AFL players are getting hundreds of thousands per yr to play a game. They like some other sports are overpaid for what they produce.

  13. Oh come off it! The boys have had 12 major injuries. Weā€™ve completely lost our defence and weā€™ve also lost some key midfielders.

Media have to start reporting the truth about the swans.

  14. It's true the swans have big injuries but it's time heeney went into the midfield and start influencing games he's a great player but put him in the middle and help these young guys out

  15. Heeney should be a half forward and a mid, with a 30% mid and 70% forward.. He doesn't have the tank for 100% mid or wing (his current position)

  16. Downhill skier thatā€™s why. Goes well when the team is flying, but when the going gets too tough, he doesnā€™t put in the work

  17. Heeney should be dominating,he lacks elite footy IQ thats apparent,a good player none the less but @ 19-20 he had everything in front of him,sh*tshow of a GF summed him up & the swans, wouldnt of got that '05 flag w/o a leg up from the AFL tribunal, wouldnt of got plugger w/o the AFL interferance of blocking the move to RFC,so many leg ups from umps to make it the GF last year only to be revealed as the fake contender they always were, remember the non 50m after warner kicked the ball away on the siren v tigers ? karmas a be-arch sydney, deserve everything that comes theyre way if u ask me

  18. Swans wont get bailed out by NGA which they abused for years picking up top 5 picks like Mills and Henney from high end footy schools. NGA was meant for developing talent outside the regular pool of kids and not getting ā€˜first roundā€™ type players for nothing and which were most likely going to get drafted anyway. I honestly donā€™t feel sorry for the swans.

  19. I honestly think Buddy could do two years as a full back – strong, skilful, massive kick, smart with the ball. Heā€™s lost speed and agility and he wonā€™t need it at full back. Heā€™s that good a player that he could do it. Another club could hand him that role and he would dominate. He knows how to play on a forward. They should consider it.

  20. Gill comes from the Goyder school of management … the board takes all..dont apologise for mistakes and pay everyone as little as you can….Alas Joyce graduated from the same school….

  21. Too much pressure on the bloke, been that way for a couple of years now, because he was so good opposing clubs put their best on him and heā€™s just not quite there yet
